I let the manager know this sign was out at the drive-thru. I thought perhaps it had been put out backwards and the special drink was on the back. She looked at the picture and said "so, what's the problem?", kinda snarky, with a "pleasant smile". I figured she hadn't really looked at picture, so I asked what it was supposed to be advertising. She said rain must have washed it away. No answer to the question. I said I just wanted to let you know. She said , thank you, with another fake smile.Latte was "thin", not rich and creamy. Why bother with Starbucks, or, this one, anyway. But, some experiences are better than others at all Starbucks.
I'm currently at this Starbucks now and I must say, I'm having the best experience I've ever had at any other location. I was given an extra drink for free because they mistakenly made 2 drinks. And the batista must have noticed how tired I was because she gave me a recommendation on a coffee that I never had before. She later came and checked on me to see if I liked it. When I told her that it was too watered down, she made me another drink free of charge. Now I am sitting here with 3 drinks when I only paid for one. Granted, I will be throwing out the watered down one, but still, I've never had such good service.
Starbucks has gone downhill over the past 5 years or so, but this place has made the 1st and 2nd worst coffee I've ever had in my life. Yup! I tried them again after the worst cup and was provided with an ever worse cup. They rush everything through and the results are horrible. Even the food looks dismal and it's pre-packaged. Management needs to be replaced.
This place, sigh... it used to be a hidden gem, now it's a dump like the rest of Norfolk. Long, long wait times have become routine and that is no one's fault. However, after a 20+ minure wait time, you'd like your drink to be made correctly, right? Well, be prepared to be disappointed. Drinks are over filled with ice, leaving them watery. They consistently have the wrong types of milks and syrups pumped into them. Cashiers will now stand and chat with other cashiers instead of greeting you and allowing you to place an order. Want to pay cash? Forget it.. "only through the app" they'll say. So disappointing to see this place go so far downhill.
Usually long lines because of the area but they are efficient and move quickly. Recommend using the app to order ahead for best service. I have rarely had a drink made incorrectly and go fairly often.
I've only been to this place twice but the food is really good. I'll definitely be back.
Let me start by saying this location is routinely very busy. The staff is largely polite and accommodating. My 3 stars pertains to the fact that literally 9 times out of 10, I wait at least 10 minutes from black drip coffee. It is right behind the register person, and they can fill it and get you out in under a minute and relieve traffic on the espresso bar. That wait time behind more time consuming and complex drinks is unnecessary. Just a side note, the bathrooms are clean.
I did an online order but accidentally sent it to the wrong location. Ash was kind enough to make my drink for me without any prompting. It really made my day as I wouldn't have had time to go to the other location! Excellent service and a kind human.
Today was a snow day and I never learned how to drive in the snow. Luckily, I lived 5 minutes from this locations. I was curious to see if they were open so I checked and their mobile orders were on. I then tried to call the store just to verify they were open. I called twice and no answer. I didn’t think anything of it because it had snowed. I then placed an order and left my house to walk to this store literally trudging through snow. I get to this Starbucks (they had nobody in their line and several partners inside) and they have a sign on the door saying the cafe is closed which is completely understandable. I then proceeded to call this store to see if I can get them to bring me my order to the door or if I should just cancel the order. I call them 2 more times. Again! No answer. At this point I’m annoyed. I was a partner with this company for 2 years and I KNOW this is against policy. So I get in the drive thru on foot and get told by the person that I would have to go home because I’m not allowed to be in the drive thru without a car. To which I replied telling them all I had already done just to get my 2 drinks I had already paid for. They told me to go to the front door and they’d bring out my coffees. When they brought it out, I was met by someone who handed me my beverages with an attitude and passive aggressively was told to “have a good day”.The worst part is my drink wasn’t even made right. I know that because I can’t drink beverages containing sugar free syrups otherwise I’ll get sick. As soon as I took a sip of this drink I had been so desperately waiting for, I knew it was wrong. I spent the next several hours feeling sick.This isn’t the first time this store has messed up my orders.I know today was an exception due to the snow and the probable understaffing but for them to not answer their phones, be rude when they finally do talk to me, AND my drink to be wrong is ridiculous.I will never be returning to this store.Do better
Frequently visit here. Have noticed price difference is slightly more than other Starbucks. Staff is super friendly.
