The best In the area. That Mac is so good and don’t get me started on the gravy.

We literally waited 40 minutes for two sides of fries and a mac and cheese that is incredibly small. Literally what the heck?

The food here is amazing but the only reason I would give it three stars is because of the service here. The staff is not welcoming at all and they can be very rude. Especially if your order isnt made correctly and you let them know, they make you feel like you’re being an inconvenience to them just to let them know your food isn’t correct. But if you’re somebody who is patient and just wanted to get your food to get in and out then come here for that or better yet order it on door dash or something like that to avoid coming inside.

Ordered a smothered pork chop dinner $15 which is usually great. But this time the Gravy and pork chops very cold as if they were precooked and str8 out of the refrigerator. The mash potatoes had to much garlic or something funky in it. Wish I could get a refund ?

I went there to discuss the specifics for a catered event I am planning. While I was there I ordered the Chicken Gizzards. This was my FIRST time eating there, but chilé let me tell you those Gizzards were Everything! I also tried a couple of the sides I intend to order for my event... Bravo!?? Mr. Al does the doggone thing in that kitchen.

I like this place but one thing I can say is that they need to do better with their to-go’s. they need better to-go containers. every time I go there, my container is leaking. why not just pack the sides separately?

This is really southern cooking. Now o can cook so when I find someone on your level of cooking...you have to see them two days in a row. Very flavorful great portion size. This place is now one of my must go to. And yes I take that drive from VA beach to Norfolk. Try them if u don't you are definitely missing out on some good cooking.

The service was relatively fast for the number of people that were ahead of me. My fried fish dinner with cabbage and mac &cheese tasted ? great. Plus, the banana pudding was delicious. I will be back to order their meatloaf with mash potatoes, possibly collar green and a dinner rolls.

I ordered the turkey wing dinner. The wings and the cabbage were very good. But the yams were burnt. The cornbread was good also. I'm still going back again. No yams for a while. Very friendly atmosphere.

The food is usually good depending on what day you go. The service isn't that great and I usually don't dine in. But if you looking for a good take out place then your in the right location.
