I was craving a good sub and this satisfied my craving. I got the American and got a sweet treat to go along with. I will be back! This is a gem tucked away between Cogans pizza on Colley.
For a dollar or two more than the chain stores Sam's Texas Sub Shop provides a great selection of sandwiches wraps and salads. Prompt attentive service and a subs that you won't get anywhere else Sam's should be on your list of places you just have to try.Attached photo is the four horseman.
Stopped by close to closing for a bite- wonderful service and a great sandwich! Best hot sub I've had in ages. Gave us a brownie because of the timing. True mom and pop shop, with amazing food and nice people!
I want to give this place 10 stars. Sam himself is so nice, the food is outstanding, and my only regret is not finding this place sooner

This place is amazing. The owners are very friendly and made sure we were happy with our food. Its a nice, small little sandwich place. Very hard to spot. It is a small place in between two buildings. Right next to cogans pizza. Definetly recommend trying them out if you are looking for something other than a local chain spot. My husband had the american and really liked it. I had a veggie sub and it was perfect. We didnt try any of the hot sauces but will in the future.
Food is excellent, I would highly recommend the four horseman. The owners are super friendly and kind people. On the pricey side for a sub meal, but if you want quality, you have to be willing to pay a little more, and is well worth it, especially with the enormous portions. A full sub is always good for two meals!

Fantastic sandwiches and chill owners. One of the best toasted subs in the greater Norfolk/Southside area... worth every penny.(I've eaten here over 20 times, consistent experience)
