My wife and I decided we wanted hibachi for dinner tonight so we checked this place out. This is our first time and definitely this will be our last time spending money here! This is what I received for $25 a plate. We asked for Hibachi steak and shrimp with vegetables and no rice. The meat was overcooked and got practically no vegetables! Don't waste your money.
Prices were good. A complete downer as menu reflects items they didn't have. Of our party of 15+, 10 of us wanted lobster and they didn't have it. Also it would've been better to have 2 cooks instead of one who had to take the cooked food to the people on the other side of table. One person ordered shrimp and it was forgotten. She got them after everyone else had their food.
The greatest restaurant in Hampton Road, no question. It may not look like much, but I have never had a meal here that was less than excellent. I have been celebrating every birthday, holiday, and new year here since 2004. The portions are large, the flavor is mind-melting, the service is friendly, and the menu is large and varied. The ultimate hibachi restaurant. Accept no substitutes. This place doesn't get the attention it deserves. Best fried rice I've ever had. Not to be missed!
Been coming here since I was 12 and the staff is always friendly and remembers us. The food is amazing compared to other hibachi places and the sushi is great.
First time there. It was quiet. The hibachi was quick and entertaining. Food was great.
Second time coming and so far so great. Place had few people both times so food came super fast and they were all polite. Pretty decent portion for hibachi, we always take left overs.Hibachi dude was nice I definitely understand if he didn't interact much because people are exhausting but he was still talking with us and thanked us for coming. Overall they are all so nice and polite and even brought us our leftovers that we forgot when we were outside!!
Everytime I go with friends I get the best service and the food is always tasty. I will definitely be coming back. ??????
Everything great and even though I understand it, it was a bit over priced. I try to eat local as much as possible and it's good to do in every once in awhile.
Agreed with poster below...Guy cooking had no interaction at all with everyone at the table-looked and acted like he absolutely hated his job and his customers. Way overly expensive for a very little bit of food compared to other Japanese steak houses Our meal for 2 was over $50 and definitely NOT worth that. Should have been half that for what we received. We initially asked for more yum yum sauce before tasting it, but the "chef" ignored the request. Then when he did give us more, most of it was ladled onto the table next to the container. --Thanks! The yum yum sauce was yuck yuck watery goop. Gross. The shrimp tasted old.Almost walked out after the water with a mushroom slice (soup) was served. Should have been clued in initially by the fact that there were NO cars in the parking lot and no customers inside when we arrived at dinner time around 6pm. What a waste of money. No way we will ever go here again. Not a chance. Thanks for making our anniversary dinner a flop. I promised the wife we would try somewhere else later in the week to make up for it.
The staff is very very friendly and each and Everytime I go i sit with a group of people that love to engage with others at the table and make it feel Less awkward and we all have a good time. The food is awesome, now I just need to figure out how I can get my picture on that wall since I am a regular now.
