While in town visiting my sister we found this Gem. Brisket was the best I've had outside of Texas or my own. Have to try the burnt ends omg so yummy and just melt in your mouth goodness ?
This place is AMAZING! I brought my local friend that never been here and we both Loved it! A little sad that they only do beef ribs on Fridays. Great food, great prices and the Big As$ burrito really REALLY is big! ??? Burnt ends are life!
I was told this place has good BBQ and that the banana pudding was so good. We were in the area & already ate at another establishment so I thought I would stop by for the banana pudding to finish off my meal. My husband ordered some burnt ends for later on. Well when I was walking to the car I looked at my bowl of pudding, I stopped in my tracks because I couldn't believe the 2 spoonful of pudding I just got for $4.50?. They give u a very very small square of pudding, it's ridiculous. My husband like the meat but I will NEVER order the dessert again. It does taste good but my aunt makes it just as good so I'll just wait for that. So I have to limit my stars because of portion size compared to price.
Usually I'm very happy with the food but my last experience was just not so great. The brisket was very salty and greasy and did not have much beefy flavor. The corn pudding was gummy. I bought a bottle of your bottled sauce and while it has a decent flavor profile it is extremely thin and watery and just doesn't stay on the meat at all it just pours right off because it's so watery. I like to feel like I'm getting my money's worth and I don't like paying for mostly water when I buy a sauce. You do a lot of things right so I think it will probably be better next time.
This is my favorite BBQ spot I've been to. I like it better than super famous restaurants in Austin, Texas. It's really hands down my favorite. Not to mention the owner is awesome. He even donated over $300 worth of food for a fundraiser I had last summer. Just do yourself a favor and get the chopped brisket fancy sammich with pimento cheese and pickled onions. It's amazing!!!!! I also love the baked beans and corn pudding. Fries are also fantastic with special sauce. Thanks Bob and Redwood Smoke Shack!!!
Picked up lunch and brought it home to eat. Everything was good as I expected. Turkey was very tender and delicious. Restaurant and smoker/pit area was very clean. Great job team. Can’t wait to try the other meats.
First of all that Texas oh my gracious somebody is smoking a brisket smell hits you in the parking lot! The servers were patient and friendly as they could be, all were in perpetual motion preparing our meal. I ordered the Meat Sweat Sampler for two. I loved it before I ate it! 2001 Manteo Street, Norfolk, Virginia. Oh taste and see…that the Brisket is good!
Went there for the first time today and the food is simply off the chain! Meaning it’s delicious!!!I got the lunch special beef brisket sandwich with the red-bliss potato salad, which is truly mash potatoes but either way the entire meal blew my mind. Even the fountain root beer was delicious. I mean, damn this place is a hidden gem!I will definitely be going back there again and if I could give this place 10 stars I would. It’s a most if you never tried it. AN ABSOLUTE MUST!
I can't say enough about this place. The brisket falls apart, the smoked jalapeño sausage is juicy, and the smoked chicken is moist(which is so hard). The sides are fresh and hot. I'm just so impressed. If you get the chance and want some amazing BBQ you have to try these guys.
Portions were not on par with a Mission BBQ for example and was also more expensive. Now for the Pros: great staff who will patiently guide you through the menu. Brisket sandwich was amazing and my date enjoyed her burnt ends. Corn pudding was awesome as well
