The staff is exceptional friendly & after your order is received, they will serve you at whatever table you sit at!.THE STAFF goes to great lengths to make the customer feel welcome & comfortable while they work their magic on whatever you ordered!!!I might also add, the food they serve to their customers is by no means a small meal but rather a large meal. You will be full after eating & you will definitely get your money's worth!!!Be it a chicken liver dinner or a gizzard dinner or mixed with both of these 2 orders, they are delicious as soul food goes, from their chicken orders popping hot,to their pork chops, barbecue & you have to try their corn muffins And their puffs with honey., the food at this sure nuff soul kitchen serving soul food is off the hook and will find you coming back again & again!!!.They also sell pastries! I haven't been here in a while for a meal. I had a sibling treat me to lunch. The dining area is small compare to other restaurants. The taste of the food is the same, delicious.

Still one of the best chicken n fish places in Norfolk. I had the fish sandwich w fries n my granny had the 3pc wing meal. Everything was well seasoned n very delicious!
BEST fried chicken in the area, lightest breading, moistest, tastiest and freshest, bar none. Good selection of homemade sides & desserts. Fast friendly service. Cost affordable. Multiple locations, consistent quality.
The chicken was great and the sides provided for a well rounded diverse flavor offering. The puffs you get for the biscuit offering were not exactly to my taste as I prefer a firmer biscuit, however those I were with couldn't get enough of them.
Pollard's has very good chicken but my favorite are the liver and gizzards. My only complaint is they have stopped using the styrofoam carry-out containers and have started using flimsy boxes that don't hold up to the heat of the food. They really need to go back to the styrofoam.
The food is good and I usually don't have to wait long for my order, even if I didn't call in ahead.
It's been 20 years since I've had Pollards, and it it just as tender and fresh as ever. The best chicken.
I always order the liver special and it was DELICIOUS ?. The only bad thing I can say is, when they are busy and your trying to order over the phone. They never come back to the phone to place your order.
