Was in Norfolk for work, decided I would find a seafood place. Tried to this place and was not disappointed!! I had the SEAFOOD FEAST. I recommend NOT ordering anything extra!, the portions are more than enough! I’m a big guy too! The food was seasoned well and tasty. Can’t say enough good things about this place! Met the owner, very nice young lady! Beautiful inside and out!! Although I wouldn’t try anything she comes “prepared”?? She has a lot of great plans coming up on the horizon! You should come give them a try!!
I’m new to the area and simply typed in “best takeout place near me”. Now, sometimes the results are hit-and-miss but tonight Google was right on the money!This place is easy to miss from the street. It looks like a hole in the wall, but it’s definitely worth the stop! I ordered the chicken tacos (comes with fries) and an extra side of Mac&cheese. In all seriousness, these may be the best fries I have ever had. Seasoned and fried to perfection.The Mac&Cheese was seasoned nicely too and the chicken tacos came with some great dressings to give it a kick. I loved it! Not to mention, this place was very affordable and the girls at the front were really kind! We decided to Google black owned Virginia restaurants and found this place ( PLATE ME PLEASE). I'm very picky. Never in my life have I ordered so many things and everything tasted so good. Not to mention The house sauce, homemade tea's (Tiger woods) . The hospitality is home warming and the food is soul comforting to your soul. Plate me please was very good! I got something simple but the taste wasn’t simple at all. I had a shrimpSalad but the salad was seasoned. Mmmmm. I met with a business group and looking at every one else’s good looking plate, I was asking to share. That fish was the Bomb, and that Cornbread was Slammin!! Customer service was great as well. I definitely will visit again!
I had the Shrimp and Fries plate. My God, my God. It was fried to perfection. The shrimp were plump and the batter was seasoned so good. I will definitely be going back. My coworker had the 3 piece fried fish plate with mac and cheese and she gave it 2 thumbs up too.
I don’t post many reviews, but this spot deserves it! Who says soul food has to be unhealthy or not tasty?First time I stopped it, we were still under pandemic orders, so I wasn’t expecting much. But, despite their small storefront, they had a wide selection in the menu. Fish & shrimp was on POINT!I came back recently and see that they are expanding both their location to have dine-in, as well as expanding the menu!

This restaurant makes the most amazing food I’ve ever had in the Hampton roads area !! The desserts is outstanding I’ve tried majority of everything & it was great ! The cakes is moist and soft. I will be back!
Let me tell you right now. Hands down, one of the best around and my new lunch spot. There's nobody competing with them and this coming from a southern guy born and raised who knows food. I never tasted anything up here so good since I been here. I advise and highly recommend if you want a smile on your face and a full belly, this is the place.
