Other restaurants in Hampton Roads, take notes. THIS is how you apply sound dampening in a restaurant! Subtle, well disguised, and perfectly implemented. It was a packed house when we arrived; but you would have never noticed if you didn’t look around because it wasn’t loud. Most restaurants around town are horrendously loud. Not this place! Amazing what proper planning and consideration can do to improve an environment.To say this place has amazing service is an understatement! I’ve had longer wait times in the Chick-fil-A drive thru. It’s insane. We were immediately sat (albeit at a tiny table, which they offered to move us from as soon as they realized we were ordering an appetizer, we declined because we knew we could make it work.) the appetizer, hummus with pita chips, was really good and came with a variety of items to mix in. It came out as quickly as our drinks! Which were also faster than we were expecting. Fair warning, it’s a HUGE portion, so maybe not a great option for a table of 2, unless you want leftovers.Lastly, our lunch, buffalo shrimp sub and a club; were outstanding and came out before we could get through half of the hummus!We will be back to try out the rest of the menu!
Ive been coming here for years and absolutely love their food. I did a to go order and when I got home I unwrapped my cornbread in my meal only to reveal a tiny roach was smashed into my cornbread. My family had already started eating their food but quickly threw it out. I think i'll be giving this place a break for a bit.
Stopped by the No Frill Bar and Grill for lunch today for my first visit. I was so pleased with all aspects of this wonderful establishment. The ambience is relaxing and welll decorated with original artworks. Our server was absolutely first class and so helpful and friendly! I chose the salmon, shrimp and grits which were some of the best I have ever eaten. The salmon was lightly blackened and the shrimp were plentiful. The dish was served over cheese grits with onion, peppers, andouille sausage and spinach. The portion was enormous and I brought home enough for dinner. My better half had a burger with bacon on grilled sourdough which was perfectly prepared and was accompanied by tasty cheese potatoes. I will be back many times!
My family and I visited this restaurant after it was recommended to us by a resident of the area. We all really enjoyed our meals. I had the shrimp po'boy and the shrimp was cooked perfectly on top of a bakery quality roll. My son had the fish and chips and the portion was huge! I recommended sharing that dish! The service was very good and prices were reasonable.
Very class interior. Fantastic bar with great choice of cocktails. The bartender makes amazing cocktails and she is absolutely super nice with clients. Great time there.
Just a Google pick, that DELIVERED!!We had a great server (Aliyah), who did an excellent job of suggesting this from the menu and had a great personality. The food was amazing and the restaurant had a perfectly set atmosphere.
Been a while since I had it...so worth it... started eating before I took my pic... that's how good it was.... always my spot... something for every appetite ?
Alexis made me feel very welcomed and recommended a great platter of Salmon and Shrimp. Salmon was prepared perfect and the grits and shrimp were ?? Moscow Mule from the bar- delicious. Ambiance was great and would be ideal for a fun date night.
Don't let the name of this place confuse you! This tuna salad is perfection every time! Family options food wise too. Try it!
2 separate dining areas, one being the sunroom that we chose to sit in with a street view. We were quickly seated and our waiter promptly took our orders. Food came out fast and was above average for simple sandwiches, I had the Cuban Sandwich with the Dijon mustard dip, and my wife had the Tuna melt. The Menu had so many options we will definitely be returning!
