So second time here. First was part of a Yelp Elite experience so that was separate.This place rocks! Chef Alan takes a classic Philly cheesesteak concept and transforms it into all kinds of different delicious sections.Today we had the chicken Philly fries, jerk chicken tacos (yes at a Philly steak joint!) and the philly chicken eggrolls.The fries- LOADED with Philly chicken meat, cheese sauce, onions green peppers and whatever amazing sauce they added. My son wanted banana peppers too. So I've had Philly chicken meat before and it's usually a disappointing chunk of meat. I'm not sure what magic Chef Alan uses but this chicken has the same consistency as you'd expect from Philly steak meat. Very think and just perfect!The tacos- delicious strips of grilled jerk chicken, not dry not too over the top spicy! Some pineapple and I think mango? in the garnish with some delicious sauce! Didn't need anything else on top! Just amazing!The eggroll- not your chinese spot take out eggroll. This was like a mini burrito. Again the meat was splendid, flavor profile was legit like taking a bite out of a juicy delicious philly chicken cheesesteak but wrapped in a perfect eggroll shell. Amazingness!If you're not sure what to order just ask. Chef Alan will most likely be there and happy to offer suggestions!We'll be back to try some more deliciousness soon!Oh and last note...the silverware...it's plastic ware BUT Chef Alan even took this into account. It's not the cheap kind you get that breaks when you try to take a bite and ruins the entire experience! Solid! You can tell he thought of every aspect of the food and the service! I'd give this place 6 out of 5 stars all day!May 9 2022 updateHad the entire family today. Jerk chicken tacos, major Philly, garlic Parm fries and chicken tenders. FIVE people split all that for about $40 and we were all stuffed! My kids eat like grown people too!
I’ve ate here multiple times and the service is outstanding along with the food tasting it too. I’ve visit Philly a lot and me eating here hits close to Philly. Costumer services is wonderful and one time I was having a convo with one of the employees to find out it was the owner. It was just a great experience all around. If you do eat here you should definitely try the egg rolls. There all good.
The food is so amazing. The staff and very friendly and inviting. My first love was the Thai chicken Phillie and now I’m stuck between the Beef and Chicken eggs rolls. The mango lemonade is amazing. You must try.
I was so excited to find a little taste of home in Norfolk until I asked a simple question “are you for real from Philly?” The loud and aggressive response was ignorant and uncalled for and although I love to support my people, my people didn’t have a problem with his loud and aggressive tone in front of other customers. Had he kept his tone low then nobody would have known our conversation. The cheesesteak was pretty good although there was way too much pepper on it but the lemonade and fries were pretty decent but not good enough to patronage this establishment again!
First time At majorphillie and YOU have to go! It’s the cutest little spot with amazing food. The Jerk Shrimp Taco is to die for. IT WAS FIRE!! The service I received was so amazing and i will definitely be back again. They made me feel welcomed and gave me an amazing experience.
This place is somewhat hidden amongst the other venues in the Granby area but it's flavor isn't. From the graffiti and the walls to sounds of the sizzle of the grill it's got all the Philly vibe. The cheese steaks here on fantastic and are portioned well. There is a dining area downstairs to the left of the building. It's a little bit quiet in terms of the feel when placing and waiting for an order but everything is made fresh and the smell and taste definitely reminds me of Philly. I highly recommend this place
We visited Norfolk for the weekend and we ate here twice!! The surf and turf sub was so good and flavorful. Brother Chef Allen was welcoming and developed some amazing recipes. They have these neat tablets that let you self order so it’s quick and efficient. 10/10 recommend.
Hands down the best Philly I've had in my life. I've ordered door dash a few times and gone in person once and the food is always amazing! I highly recommend this place!
The food was really Good. I'm very picky with my Philly Steak subs. The Philly wasn't salty at all, which was a plus for me. The fries the real old bay season on it. Very Good indeed. I'm Definitely going again soon. ?
Such good cheesesteaks!! I’d been craving a Philly cheesesteak for so long and finally got one and it hit the spot. Quick and friendly service and good prices for how big of a cheesesteak you get.
