Good Poke with pretty standard options. They also have a nice looking drink selection. Wife and I got Tuna bowls and they were delicious. Also had a matcha tea, ended up adding some sweetened condensed milk when we got home and it was perf. The staff were super nice and attentive. This place deserves some more attention.
I LOVE THIS RESTAURANT! The two brothers(owners) that we met today were so nice and friendly they made us feel like old friends. The food was even better. We ordered a custom poke bowl, shrimp tacos and musubi. The bowl was fresh and flavorful and enough to save for a snack later. The tacos were so light and tasty with just a little kick of spice. And the best thing for me was the musubi(pictured below)??! Such a simple idea expertly executed. We will be returning hungry for more very soon.
Incredibly tasty! Also, very welcoming.. they went out of Tofu, but covered the drink on house as a gesture of thank you.. This place deserves more love! I am definitely visiting again
This place is crazy good. I could've eaten 3 times the amount. New favorite in East Beach.
First off, love the minimalistic ambience!We ordered the spicy Ahi bowl and I did a build your own Salmon bowl with the merm-aid and watermelon mint juices (which were super refreshing and great beach drinks) The fish portions could have been more for the small, but the flavors and freshness made up for it! If you enjoy poke bowls and Locally owned establishments then this is the place for you!!
I’m all for supporting local business and the people are wonderful- I’ve given it a few tries but overall won’t be going again. I got double the protein portions just to get enough fish and the “large” bowl that ended up only being filled up halfway for $18. Unfortunately will have to move to a different location for my poke :(
The poke was amazing on my first visit, so I had to return and try something new. The spicy shrimp tacos were yummy!
Best poke in the area with some really unique menu items. Great for poke lovers and poke newbies. I had the Volcano Bowl, which is my new favorite poke bowl, and I can only get it here!
Awesome first experience we are “poke people” & finally got a chance to try out this new spot! I will never drive to Virginia Beach again great portions,prices, atmosphere & customer service. We had spicy ahi bowls, prime juice & our little guy had spam, avocado & rice!
We were so excited to see a new poke place coming to East Beach/Ocean View. Unfortunately, both of our bowls just didn’t quite meet our standards. The same ingredients at Poketastic in Chesapeake (and the one by the outlets) taste superior, and for an overall lower price. The bowls were good, just not great; and definitely overpriced for the portion size compared to their competition. $4 for a small cup of watered-down iced matcha? I get paying off your overhead; but maybe tone it down a little.The staff definitely isn’t fully comfortable with their assortment/menu yet. They seemed unsure/uncomfortable about what they were asking each guest (not just us.) I’m sure that will improve with time; so I’m not going to knock them for that. They were very nice and apologetic for the wait.I wanted this place to be great; they just have room for improvement before they get there. It may sound like I am bashing this restaurant; but it’s not like that. This restaurant is really good; it just wouldn’t be my first go-to when the carving strikes, it yet at least. I look forward to giving them another shot down the road. Maybe they’ll change my mind.
