My first time at this restaurant-Ordered $50 worth of food today at a pre-dinner not busy hour. The hot and sour soup was so surprisingly delicious and full of fresh vegetables (mushrooms/zucchini) that I had to stop and give a shout out! It warmed my soul. Also noteworthy were the crab rangoons cooked perfectly and a beef/pancit type dish that was really flavorful (sorry for not remembering what he name)
Initially when this restaurant started it was outstanding as time has gone by things have definitely changed. Vegetable fried rice doesn’t even include water chestnuts baby corn bamboo shoots… Instead it’s broccoli carrots and onion and mushroom and that is it. Quite the disappointment when I picked up my rice today considering I paid extra for those type of vegetables that I did not receive. Nor was I informed on the telephone that they no longer serve those type of vegetables.
I’ve been going there 8 yrs and the food is still good but.. the online menu prices are way off. Ordered 2 items that totaled 15 dollars, 23 dollars when picked up.. and they do not honor additional free egg roll or other items like menu says .. I will try somewhere else for a change
How dare. Kim wok sell Shrimp Fried Rice with only 4 to 5. Shrimp on the top. With none to the bottom.
Being a Wards Corner resident, we don’t have as big of a selection nearby as a Ghent resident, and I think the limited options tend to make us more forgiving. That being said, I have never had bad quality food from Kin’s Wok 2. Always fresh, always hot, I never have to wait more than 10-15 minutes after ordering to be able to pick up, and fair portions and prices. Also, I think it’s worth mentioning that I won’t eat eggrolls just anywhere because most places have nasty half-rotten cabbage in them. Kin’s Wok 2 is the only place I get consistently fresh cabbage in my egg rolls, and I order several every time I go.
don't know why everyone is leaving bad reviews !! i ordered online and they called to confirm that i ordered. it was quite noisy when i answered and hard to hear them so i just answered yes for whatever question they gave me. (oops) and the person was trying to talk over me when i kept asking about the number calling.i didn't go pick it up, someone did for me. and they said the service was fine, just that they were pretty busy. no problem there, our order was already done by then. worker confirmed our order by making sure they called the right phone number, what's in our order and name of course.now the actual food. we ordered shrimp lo mein, scallion pancakes general tso tofu and a small rice. we didn't order another rice or fortune cookies but they were kind enough to give it to us. everything was cooked nicely. a little greasy but what more would you expect ?lo mein - 7/10scallion pancakes - 9/10 (little greasy but still wonderful)general tso tofu - 5/10 (sauce was good but tofu was odd and chewy)rice was well cooked.overall a 7/10 !! would order from here again if i lived close enough :')
This was by far the worst I have ever had .I order 2 dinners and wanton and it was 31 dollars. I ended up throwing it away it was so bad.
Definitely not what I was expecting. I’m a loyal Ghent kin woks customer and their food is always great but the ward corner kin wok, I’ll never go again. Spent over $40 and everyone had to donate their meal to the nearest trash can ?
The veggie noodles with crispy tofu was so good. Its hard to find good tofu. Loved the veggie egg roll too!
The food is good but if they actually pay attention to the order I’d give it 5 stars. Workers are rude as hell and tried hung up on my mom when they messed up her order, they didn’t even bother fixing her order when she is allergic to shrimp. One of the girls yelled at me on the phone when I was trying to place a order. Terrible people
