Less than 40 hours ago at the time of this writing, my husband and I mutually agreed to try some food from Kappo Nara Ramen (located in the Ghent neighborhood of Norfolk Virginia). My husband selected the Katsu Curry dish that comes with pork and rice while I chose to have the Kuro Black Tonkotsu ramen (that comes with tonkotsu base pork broth egg bambo fishcakes red ginger ki-kurage chashu pork shredded scallions nori. My hubby and I both liked our food and had obtained our dishes via the pick-up/carry-out option.
It's a nice little ramen place. The staff were very accommodating and went above and beyond to try and get the allergy information for different dishes for a member of our party.All the members of oir party really enjoyed the different ramen dishes we had.
During a rainy day on vacation, my partner and I decided to check this place out and we were really impressed!Our waitress/host was working really hard and even though she was on her own, the service was phenomenal and quick and friendly.We ordered the takoyaki, the oshinko, and the yellowtail jaw, which was our favorite. We also got the house ramen and tonkotsu ramen, both very delicious! Kudos to Kappo!
Everything was good here. I had ramen and it was good. The family had various other entrees and everyone really enjoyed their food. If I'm in the area and mood for ramen or this style of food I will likely return.
Kappa Nara Ramen was a very authentic Japanese cuisine experience. We tried the edamame, gyoza, salmon onigiri, tonkatsu Ramen and ended the meal with mango mochi.
Most unprofessional experience I've encountered in a long time! Ordered from grubhub from this establishment. Upon arrival of the driver he was informed that they will not take grubhub orders anymore. I work in a restaurant and we have grubhub the very least effort would be to turn off your orders from grubhub and they will remain offline. Waited 30 minutes for my food just to find out I can't get it and was still charged 25$. There seems better places with more integrity than this place.
The food was good but I honestly believe I've had better. I went somewhere else when this place was closed and their food was delicious and the pork melted in you mouth. But this place? The yakitori and gyoza was good, I especially liked how it was filled with vegetables but the ramen just didn't do it for me.
This is the most amazing little ramen joint ever! Not that pricey and everything is gloriously flavorful, ridiculously good! The Korean and Japanese decorations are so fun, very cozy sit-down.
