I won't be back! This place was awesome in 2016 but 2022 terrible. I ordered fish and shrimp tacos and the price was $33.75! Host said because I ordered both fish and shrimp! What? I used to live near this place in 2016 and the place was always popping and packed. I waited 45 minutes for take out order. It looks horrible! That photo is Tilapia taco!That dish was $18.00.?
I came here with my mom and sister while on a roadtrip from New Hampshire and Jessy’s has the best Mexican food we’ve ever had! We tried a handful of different things on the menu and loved them all. We went for dinner one night and went back the next day for lunch. Multiple waiters and waitresses checked on us while we were eating and made it such a pleasant experience.
Love this type of dining experience with amazing food. Shrimp taco was very fresh and was delighted with purple cabbage, which makes it even more nutritious. Carne asada was pretty good. Can’t wait to come back to try the many sophisticated soup selections including seafood mariscos, seafood cocktail, and guacamole samplers, they all look amazing.
Saw this place on TV and had to try it. I was impressed with the menu and my order was hot and fresh and delicious. So many authentic dishes on the menu. I believe I will try something different every time I return, but so far great experience. They also have a Latin grocery in the same building. Glad I found this place, will be back for more.
Mexican food and tienda. Well stocked with plenty of baked goods. Food was fantastic! Tons of flavor from the first bite to the last and as authentic as I've had on the east coast. Must try!
If you want good food, this is the place! It is a "typical" Mexican restaurant yet it is not. The flavors of the dishes are unique and everything is really good. The ambiance is normal for this type of restaurant except they have a little screened in patio area which is fun in warm weather. They serve good margaritas and the horchata is great! My favorite part of eating at Jessy's is walking next door and getting a delicious piece of "Mexican Cheesecake." It's always hard to decide because all the baked goods look so tempting, so I always get the cheesecake because I can't decide. I have never been disappointed. If you are visiting the area and looking for some good Mexican comfort food, look no further. If you are a local...well if you know you know.
This establishment is the newest with the original in Norfolk. I love to try restaurant that have been features on The Food Network Channel. Would recommend stopping by any location to give this delicious authentic mexican food a try. However, I would not recommend ordering take-out. You do not receive the same experience with take-out.

An insult to other Drive In’s and Diners…! The place did not seem to be overly busy, just poorly operated by tired people. Our party of 6 felt ignored, poor service, no smiles, 20 minutes between service visits. Then the slow service brought randomly timed, bland food, served half of us Chinese white rice, don’t think plain white rice slopped beside refried beans should be called authentic Mexican (it’s an insult to good Mexican food, and even Taco Bell). My seafood bowl was awful, muscles were not open, shrimp were hard frombeing old and frozen, 3 tiny crab bones in the bowlwith no crab meat and a tired peace of fish in bland broth, sad really. Other people in my party were not happy… cabbage tacos with a hint of shrimp, is not happy. Basically bland food, no flavor, it’s not even bad Mexican food, it’s just really bad food.
It was plain AWFUL!!! My entire party will be writing reviews. Service , food , flies , I could go on. No efforts to correct the issues.. anyway .. Taco Bell is above this place!! Dish served with no meat “they forgot to add it” then when corrected dish came they ran out of rice , so they served us plain white rice. Muscle dish had not even 1 muscle that opened. No efforts to correct ANYTHING Was done. I will be sharing my opinion with all the cooking groups I am a part of here in the tidewater area.
