Love Jesse's Place!!!! Sam keeps us ready and full every time we go. Jesse runs a great store. The food is homemade and you can see the cooks hard at work. The atmosphere is quiet. This is our breakfast spot in Norfolk. The decor is really neat and reminds me of an old diner. Can't say enough about how good they are. The menu is inclusive and I have been for lunch and breakfast. Food is always good and the prices are very good for the amount of food you get.
We have been here before with no issues, but this time was terrible. We ordered $60 worth of food that was all unseasoned. The seafood I ordered had the most horrible breading every which was also unseasoned. My husband ordered a double cheeseburger and they just threw the meat on the grill and cooked it. He didn’t finish it and we ended up putting it in a to go box and giving it to our dogs. The only thing that I can say was great was the customer service. She was very nice and was moving around a lot to be the only one there.
Ordered a sandwich today to be picked up. The staff seemed very nice but a little disappointed in the food. The fries I didnt even eat and the sandwich was pretty much slapped together on burnt toast. I just wish you could get food that was properly made and made with some pride. Why would you even send out a sandwich on burnt toast.
I absolutely love eating here. The food is delicious, I love the staff, and it just feels like you are going to your friend’s house for breakfast. Cozy and family friendly.
Today's visit to Jesse's Place was one of the best restaurant experiences I've had in years. Rapid, yet affable service; amazing, yet reasonably priced food; and the place was cleaner than a hospital, yet comfortable. I look forward to my next visit!
Generally solid. Friendly staff. Can be a little crowded on weekends and they do a lot of take out, so it can be a little slower then... so leave some time. I go fairly often - I like consistency
The food tasted like canned food but the staff had good customer service & they were kind enough to offer a replacement order.

I stopped in for lunch the other day and got the Five Points Sandwich. Big mistake. Food was disgusting. The fries were soggy and undercooked. I can make a better sandwich at home. Not to mention the place was filthy along with torn seats on the booths.
