Whoa! Huge portions, great price, I don’t understand why people are complaining and the other reviews, but this is my new go to place! Let me tell you something about ethnic food, people. You are in Virginia, you are not in the islands. If you’re not from the islands and you don’t even know what to expect. This place is legit 100%! Vegan options! However, that banana pudding will have you dancing in the kitchen! Can’t wait to see y’all in person!

The food didn’t look like island food. Idk which island recipe or chef they have but it’s certainly not Jamaica. The curry chicken look like shredded chicken breast with a lot of sauce and it was plastered all over the rice. ?. I threw it away.

OMG, worst “so-called” island food ever. This is supposed to be Brown Stew Chicken. Not sure where they got this recipe and chef from. There’s nothing island about this meal. It’s horrible. Obviously the ppl who posted good comments aren’t familiar with island food. This meal is offensive to Jamaicans such as myself. Very disappointed…??‍♂️

Hey if your really caribbean, u might think twice before dinning. The food was terrible, worst caribbean food ever, EVER in my opinion.. Cant beleive im saying this, the food was unedible due to taste and quality, we ditched our 2 plates and ran to fast food-truth. The rice was overcooked(extra soft exteriror), no taste. And the peas to rice ratio was also off. The so called chicken was cut up into small peices with hot sauce thrown on it. We didnt ask for this type of meat, Nor did they give us option- 2 pics represent the "jerk chicken". They asks us if we wanted mild medium or hot, that should have been a clue to run, since jerk is usually marinated in the chicken before cooking. The chicken was also pinkish, with the obvious american style, store bought sauce thrown on the chicken. Im not saying it wasnt cooked, but jerk is not supposed to looke like that. They did not seem to know how to cook any type of caribbean food, they cooking style is closer to soul food with them offering mac and cheese, collards & cornbread. We did not try the mac, cornbread, collards, nor the jerk wings. BUT... We did get fried fish which was browner & wet, even though the outside breading was thin but ok. And next worse was the cabbage, have you ever seen pinkish, orange cabbage? What do they do cabbage to make it that color? And it was way over cooked, way to soft. If you are caribbean at all, u might, be disappointed only that the caribbean style food was missing for me. The place seemed clean and the place was in a nice area.

I’m giving a 1 star because that’s the only way I can write my review but I would give them a big ol 0. If your from the island you will agree for those who are not I’m sorry for the wool they are putting over your eyes. The food is NOT AUTHENTIC JAMAICAN CUISINE. AT ALL!!! Everything has cinnamon in it. I ordered the Jerk Pork and it’s sweet and full of bar que sauce. I also ordered coco bread and they just gave me a slice of bread with butter and a bunch cinnamon. My brother in law ordered the jerk chicken and it was Horrible full of cinnamon chicken skin. I tried to give the food back and ask for a refund for this horrible meal And they said No just go ahead and give your bad review. So I am. They can honestly do better.

No dine in because of COVID-19. They had dine in before hopefully it can return one day. Good food. They have a nice lemonade; its probably water, lemon juice and sugar, but that's how I like it since as a kid when I made my own.

My pick-up order was mmm, mmm good - the BROWN STEW CHICKEN and FRIED FISH with RICE & CABBAGE was delicious! Portions are hardy!!

excellent food first time customer highly recommend

Small bite sized pieces of chicken for brown stew chicken. Ordered a large portion and I doubt the chicken equates to a thigh in all. And the Mac tasted like it was boxed. Collards had good flavor. Won’t be returning oh and the rice… hard throughout

So yummy! The owner, Dorothy is so kind and gracious. The food is fantastic! We LOVE the cocoa bread, jerk pork, curry chicken, fried plantains, collards, cabbage, rum cake and sweet iced tea! DELICIOUS. The food here is consistently good with large portions at a great price. Highly recommend! Total comfort food.
