Very disappointing experience - were here yesterday, 4/26/22. Had to wait quite a while to be seated, then a longer wait for waitress to bring us menus and ask about drinks. This was understandable as it was busy and apparently short-staffed. What was not understandable was the lack of customer service to check on us one time - to ask if food was ok, needed refills of our drinks, etc. I saw her go to the same customer 3 times to check on him. After waiting for over 20 minutes to get her attention for our check, sh told us she had to wait for girl to write it since the system was down. After waiting another 20 minutes, she came by in passing and told us she was sorry and was having a bad day. It took another 20 minutes for her to put the check on our table. At the point I had cash out and handed it to her. Didn’t even check tp see if it was correct - which I don’t think it was - $30 for a 5 stack of pancakes, french toast, bacon, tea and milk. This was a terrible first and last experience with this or any IHOP. Plus, your employees need to learn to extend some empathy to customers/any one with disabilities. My husband had eye surgery the previous day and had his eye patched. He is blind in the other eye - so basically blind. There is no way for someone not to realize this as I am leading him through the restaurant. One employee, young man who was cleaning tables, asked if he could help me as I was taking him to the restroom. He even took him in and waited for him and helped him back to our table. I wish I would have asked his name. He was so kind and helpful. Sorry for the length of this review but just wanted you to know how terrible this experience was. We go to Virginia Eye Consultants often snd pass your restaurant coming and going each time. We will never visit you again!
poor service, waitress inattentive. My biggest pet peeve in a restaurant is having to repeatedly have to ask for a refill of my drink. The meal came out incomplete, toast was stale. Easy to say, because I don't live near here, we won't be returning to this specific IHOP
These people served me the nastiest pancakes I ever had in my life. They are supposed to be professional cooks but they are going to pass thes fraudulent pancakes out like this, like no one would notice. The server gave me a kids cup for my 17 yr old. And when my son asked for some napkins she didn't answer him or acknowledge him and then later brings napkins passively saying I heard you but I wouldn't validate your question with a curious response. I complained I didn't aske for a discount I just wanted to pay and be done with this shanagains. Very disappointed ??
My friend and I visited on Feb 17th for a late breakfast. We were seated quickly. The staff was to the point, but friendly and professional. You could tell them were pretty steady even on a weekday, and didn’t have a whole lot of time to chat if they were going to be able to help everyone in a timely manner.Our order was right, the waitress was knowledgeable about the menu and when she had a minute to breathe she did have a quick chat with us, and thanked us personally and genuinely for our visit to IHOP.It looked like maybe they have done some remodeling or deep cleaning. I hadn’t been to this one in many years and it looked cleaner than I remembered. I would go on a weekday again. I bet they are slammed on weekends and at lunch.
Came here after landing from NYC at 1am. Diner was closed. A kind young man from inside the restaurant came out and told us the diner was closed but we can do the curbside. He came out and took orders. You could tell he was tired. We ordered the 2x2x2 and the 2 for 2 breakfast with hashbrowns. The order was prompt, correct the food was good and the server was gracious!Thankyou!!
My family is new to the area and this is our 2nd time visiting this location. The first time we appreciated our waiter. It was a Saturday morning and they were pretty busy but he took great care of us. Today I went alone with my 4 month old. They were not busy at all but it took 15 mins before the waitress even acknowledged me. She kept checking on her other tables and would look and walk by me. After waiting for longer than I needed to just to place a drink order… she finally came as I was picking up my sons car seat and asked “do you know what you want to drink” no hello or anything or apology that it took her too long to even approach my table. With COVID and the lack of staff at businesses these days I try to be patient but there was absolutely no excuse for her lack of professionalism. Unsure of her name but she had red locs.
This IHop was very well staffed and we were seated immediately. The food came out fast and exactly what we asked. Even though the restaurant was packed, there wasn't much of a delay for service and our meals. Will definitely go again.
Went to IHop on January 18th, because my daughter wanted to go there for her birthday. Everyone was nice and the service was excellent. Our server was very nice and funny I enjoyed my time there. It was very clean and antiseptic cleaning was immediately done after customers left. I like that. There was also no waiting.
I ordered food from this dam place in December on my dam BIRTHDAY. When my ordered was delivered by Grub Hubb My food was cold and I didn't receive any condiments to eat my food. So to help the store manager understand what the meaning of condiments and good customer service is. The service that you provided was not good and you represent IHOP. It's sad that the bad service your employhees provided is okay with you. I could not eat my pancakes because I had no syrup and butter, no salt and pepper for my eggs, not enough silverware for me and my wife, to eat, and the food was cold. The reason you employees gave me was (THE DRIVER STOLED IT). I spent $40 with fees and the store manager was so gracious to give me $5 refund.THANK YOU IHOP FOR NOTHING !
We're from FL visiting VA and hadn't been to an IHOP in over 15+ years but I'm glad we went today! Jose was very friendly, polite, thorough, and exhibited superb customer service!! He was a stellar waiter and should be recognized for going above and beyond! Also, the food was rewarding!! Fresh, hot, and A LOT of it!!! Our food was yummy to our tummy!! Easy to go IHOP!!
