Love GB&D!! It has continued to keep pace with whatever the economy, downtown, COVID throws at us!! The prepared food is great, the cooked meals are so good...LOVED MY SAUSAGE, EGG & CHEESE this AM - THANKS TONY!! And their FRIED FISH & CHICKEN is delicious! It's also a micro grocery store with many of the RIGHT things stocked!HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
Granby Bistro and Deli is more of a take out kind of place. The food is very good. Not a lot of room inside but they have tables to sit out on the sidewalk. This is also a bit of a grocery store, I assume for those who are living in apartments near by.
Nice grocery type deli.Very small but large selection of items due to high shelves.The deli is on the main road if Google directs you to the side road for some reason.I had a tuna sandwich to go and it was good. Nice man running the place, overall recommended for a quick grab and go lunch.
I went in to order breakfast on April 5 after appearing on the local news and the man behind the counter was just surly and irritable. He either wasn’t happy to be at work or just wasn’t interested in cooking for me. I left without ordering because it was a bad experience.
Best hot pastrami sandwich I've ever had.
Lebanese menu. I had the falafel in pita and baklava for dessert. It was delicious.
The reason this deli is THE BEST is because the owner of Granby Street Deli is the most remarkable man. He knows his customers and pays attention to them. We are getting ready to move and the ONLY place/person we will miss the most from downtown Norfolk, is you!!Much gratitude Robert (Maverick Red 100's)

Awesome place! Last minute baking needs? They’ve got all the ingredients! Feel like a falafel pita? Swing by and pick up boxed mix and pita pockets! Need more beer for your buddies? They’ve got it. Not enough time to wait to order lunch/dinner, ready to eat takeout available! I love this place, frequent it almost weekly and I’d like to think I’m friends with the man who owns the deli. Most convenient convenience store!
We stopped in on Saturday, May 8th specifically for the gyros. We were impressed by the deli and all the home made goodies in the fridge. Of course, we had to have some baklava too. Neither I nor my friend could finish our gyros! They were so full of meat and so tasty! We'll definitely be back to this Granby Street gem.
