Food was hit or miss. Couple dishes were good, others not so much. Service was abysmal; probably the worst Iâve had in a very long time. Our server would disappear for 20-30 min stretches and then take another 10-15 min to get us our drinks in a mostly empty restaurant. On top of it, I was charged an 18% gratuity automatically bc we had 7 people in our group. Iâll always tip a reasonable amount but in no way did our server earn 18%. No idea how they rate as high as they do. Will never go back.
Good food good quick service good drinks friendly staff good prices but nice place
Amazing service AND food. Extremely friendly and helpful waiters. Awesome shepherd pie,the best I ever had. The presentation and plating was gorgeous on all their dishes. Taking our other son and daughter in law for their first time tonight or tomorrow. Can't wait!!!!! Great live music too!
Got to be the worst meal and service I have experienced in a long time. All the food including the highly touted fish and chips as well as the flounder and chicken were overcooked. The fish on the fish and chips was more like fish jerky. The fries were just warm and had no flavor. I would go somewhere else although I have no idea we’re to tell you to go in Norfolk. Maybe Chick-fil-A?
We both enjoyed our meals (fish and chips, cottage pie). Servers were very friendly. We came back later for the live music bit it was too noisy and the musician wasn't very good so we left.
Food wasn't up to the reviews I read. Beef stew meat was very dry and Shepherds Pie was not very good.
Excellent atmosphere, excellent location, excellent service. We had Irish nachos for our appetizer, skip it-I make much better beer cheese, fish and chips-hubby loved them and said the batter was awesome-full but not overpowering, bacon and cabbage-so good highly recommend trying this dish. Also enjoyed the irish green tea crush and tried 3 irish whiskeys I had not before-one I let the waiter pick for me since he seemed so knowledgeable and had similar tastes to my own. We also enjoyed the live music from a lady hailing from NOLA, who made us laugh with her new lyrics to old tunes.
Our waitress was was horrible. Took her 20 mins to take our order and another 20 minutes to get our drinks. The corn beef and cabbage was horrible. Tasted like someone poured salt over my food. Usually the service was excellent as well as the food. Not this time… what happened????
We got to eat outside on the patio, it was a beautiful day. Enjoyed it, but sort of wished we would have eaten inside to enjoy the ambiance of the pub.
Came for the Irish breakfast but unfortunately it wasn’t available it happens ordered the Irish bacon & cabbage and let me tell you it was pretty awesome could have eaten more
