Food was awesome! Staff was courteous and super friendly! Great authentic Italian cuisine! Food made to order so don’t be in a hurry! Worth the wait!!!
This restaurant is best described as unassuming. I lived nearby for years before I realized it's existence and I'm forever hooked. Don't be fooled by the location. The atmosphere is upscale, yet unpretentious with welcoming staff, great service and exquisite Italian food. Give it a try and you'll understand! Date nights will be much closer to home from now on. What a gift to Ocean View.
One of the worst meals I have had and was extremely over priced. Me and my best friend were hungry so we went here because it had good ratings and was close. Calamari was still frozen! Yes frozen calamari yuuuum. and extremely chewy. And the pizza was half cooked. Could not get a refill to save my life. And I was drinking wine. Thick half baked dough. What a waste of money. They definitely pay for reviews. You are better off with Burger King. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
Last Friday night we wanted italian for dinner. We found Franco'sbythe bay close by our hotel. It was tricky to find due being in strip mall at Ocean view. Once inside it a small place with approximately 17 tables. You can seat yourself. Our waitress was Melissa and very helpful. They offer wine besides soda . Chicken parm for me and Franco trio for John. Both were amazingly delicious. They had Fred on piano for music to enjoy while eating. Definitely would recommend
Nice little place. It's one of those hidden gems that doesn't look like much from the outside. But the inside was nice and clean, and the piano player tops off the atmosphere. The service is prompt and very friendly. The food is very good for the price you pay. Well done!
Normally, Every visit is a good visit for lunch with colleagues from work. Never had a bad plate. Until this past Thurs. The place was a bit full but not packed. After our party of 5 sat down the regular sequence of events (menus, drinks order) we noticed that the place filled up. Oddly, 45 mins into waiting we still had not received any of our orders yet at least two other tables that I saw come in after we ordered had received their orders. At about the 50 minute mark, I received my plate, in one hand form the waitress and not in the usual "double-plate" 'cause the plate is usually flaming hot. My food was not hot, barely tepid. When I brought it to the attention of the waitress, she actually said "what do you want me to do with it?" She actually took it back and microwaved it and brought it back, slipping it under my arm as I did not see her bringing my plate back, didn't say anything and walked off. We had to "beg" for drinks refills. Then, in the end, we all ended up paying the "Large Party Gratuity" of 20% when, again, we were only a party of five. We have been 6 or 7 and have not been charged "Large Party Gratuity" the 100's of times we have been there before.
Portions are good and price isn’t terrible, my big issue it that the prices have increased, but the menus don’t show that so it wasn’t until I got the check that I realized I was charged more. And when I asked about it I was not given an apology or anything and just told that that’s how it was. If you increase your prices and are waiting on new menus you should tell your customers upfront about that.
Excellent food. Both times I've got it to go and my husband and i thought it was outstanding. We had 2 different entrees the first time we ordered from them, this visit i had a sub and my husband a calzone. Please we had an delightful dessert. Everything we received from this establishment has been TOP NOTCH. Thank you, as consumers it is nice to have confidence in the food you order. That it will be hot and good. You guys go beyond that.
I can be picky about Italian food, comparing it to the 1st generation home cooked food I grew up with. I found the meatballs to have be OK. Probably baked not seared and cooked in the sauce slowly. As for the pizza it was soft and doughy. I will be back to try other dishes.
The food here will not disappoint. The linguine in white clay sauce is delicious. The spaghetti and meatballs and the spaghetti with sausage are two of my daughters favorites. We order one of each and then mix them together. The subs have plenty of meat and toppings. The manicotti is yummy. Literally everything I have eaten here has been excellent. The staff is always extremely friendly and accommodating. They also have someone playing the piano on certain nights. So if you want romance on a first date make you self look cultured and take them here on a night the piano man is there. I promise between the ambiance, the food and the wine selection. This is a great little place for a first date or 741st date.
