I confess that it was an easy decision for me to take a chance on recently trying the Germanchokolatekake version of an icecream bowl from the Norfolk Virginia location of Cold Stone Creamery less than 7 days ago. This was also because I have some previously familiarity with sometimes treating myself to this brand because I have also previously tried Cold Stone Creamery icecream from the Orlando Florida, College Park Maryland and Arlington Virginia locations of Cold Stone Creamery). The icecream I recently had from the Norfolk Virginia location was yummy and the employee handling both my food purchase and putting together the Germanchokolatekake ice cream creation for me was friendly and kind.
It was very busy but despite that we had great service and good ice cream!
My husband and I have been coming to this cold stone ONLY, for the past 4 years. Love the customer service and that it's in the corner of a small but pleasant shopping center of about 6 stores.

Unfortunately the cones tasted like soap and were inedible. My family left feeling they had soap in their mouths. Notified the nice staff who confirmed it has to do with how they clean the waffle iron. Ymmv.
Good service here, with great ice cream. We had to go back a second time because we enjoyed it so much.
This establishment is not clean! There was hair in the ice tub. They do not clean their spoons properly AND the work station they make their ice cream on is not clean either. You will have a whole lot of mixing that you did not ask for. Very unkempt I would not recommend getting ice cream from here!
Just basic ice cream. Nothing special.
