Very good food. Very overpriced
During Covid they had very limited hours and missed them several trips to the area. Imagine my surprise when they were open for lunch Thursday while I was in town. Amazingness. That's really the only thing I can say. I live 3 hours away and look forward to every visit.
Excellent food and service. Small menu that changes daily with an emphasis on fresh local ingredients, thoughtfully selected and expertly prepared. Highly recommended.

Chartreuse Bistro is an absolute gem in downtown Norfolk. The inside is charming with simple elegance. The owners are a lovely couple who make the dining experience very personal. Service from the wait staff is excellent. But, the food! Impeccable, delicious, artistic with a changing menu that is farm to table and showcases the chef’s versatility and talent. It has become my neighborhood “go to” restaurant. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to eat and drink well in a setting that makes you feel as if you’re in Paris!
Excellent lunch!! Food was extremely fresh and wine selection was very good. Please note there is no sign from the street!! You will just see gold bistro tables through the glass. Very nice staff and service.
We went for a Sunday Brunch and I can say it was the best food I’ve eaten in a restaurant!
