I had a great experience at this Captain D's location. We were greet with a hello as soon as we walked through the doorThe young lady that was at the cash register was very polite she completed our order with great accuracy.. I was with my mother and my aunt and one of the employees came from out the kitchen to help us carry our food to our car. Now that was excellent customer service. Our food was hot and good
Check you order.... I'm highly disappointed This is the 2nd time I've visited in the last couple of months and received poor service. This time I ordered green beans and rice and got mac n cheese and warm coleslaw with limp fish. The second time it was fish strips instead of fish filets. The first time it was burnt black crab cakes. I work too hard for the money and pay too much for the food to get the wrong stuff every time. My fault... I should check. Even better. Don't return.

Went to this captain D on 4/12/2022 at 7:30. The meal came up to $26.03. I would have been better off eating TV dinners. The fish was not cook.(Had to send it back) the corn on the cob look like it should have been throw out weeks ago. The green beans was horrible. I feel that Captain D rob me and other customers with using a gun. Will never eat at this location. If employees stay off there cell phones maybe the food can be cook right.
Slow service..drive thru over 20 minutes in line..food portion slim..not worth the 5.99. Now I see why most stores closed. You no longer get bang for your bucks. Certified disgusted.
Captain D’s SeafoodVirginia Beach, VA26 February 2022My husband and I had been craving Captain D’s.We finally located one!!Yay!Or at least we thought.After waiting in the drive thru line for approximately 40 minutes, we were asked for our order and immediately told to wait.After another 10 minute wait— We were asked for our order in a rude manner — as if we were an inconvenience to the worker.My husband placed an order for two fish platters, a Children’s chicken mean with sides of macaroni & cheese, coleslaw and green beans.We pulled up to the pick-up window and they took our payment. Without a word.My husband was handed his card back and the cashier started handing us food & drinks. We did not order drinks.My husband advised that we did not have drinks this order may not be ours.They asked what we ordered.My husband then told them two fish platters and a Children’s chicken meal.They then advised us that they had to make fresh fish and we needed to pull up and wait. My husband asked for malt vinegar and tarter sauce as our sauces and they responded they did not have any.We pulled forward, parked and my husband proceeded to go into the building to get malt vinegar from a bottle.He was immediately stopped and told the inside was not open to customers.Needless to say we are extremely disappointed, the food was horrid.The macaroni & cheese was just cheese.The tarter sauce was opened. So we didn’t use it either.I highly advise no one order or eat at this establishment.F+++
Don't know what to expect each time we go, this time it was wonderful the last time everything was overcooked like they cooked it twice, it was just terrible and then I called Home Office one time and they refund me, it's just 1 of those restaurants where you don't know what to expect when you pull out. The Chesapeake Va store is always great but I live in Vir Beach and have to go to the closes restaurant but to my husband's Demincia.
It's FebRuary, and STILL no oysters... I'm patiently waiting, but I can't review what you guys CAN'T sell me cause you don't have any..... but they are a good value when you have them
Been at the captain D’. on Va Bech Blvd Feb 3 around four o’clock. The woman at the counter was nice. The food wasn’t great. I got the two piece flounder. Green beans and okra. The green beans tasted bad. The okra was not fried enough. The hush puppies were so greasy could not eat. That wasn’t the worse. Because I had to I used the bathroom there. This place was filthy. I am disabled using a cane to walk. After going to the bathroom the floors were so greasy I could not get up off the toilet without my feet sliding. After several tries I slid and landed on the floor. After that I had to tell for help. Five minutes later an employee came to help me up. That’s when I found out someone peed on the floor. I had to brace my foot against the door frame and employee to get me up. The manager came in asked how I was and I told her I was not good while trying to clean myself. She did nothing no accident report no refund of bad meal nothing. Will not be back.
Waited 8 minutes for order to be taking an another 8 minutes to get food. Very rude, poor customer service and bad attitudes you can see it on their faces, very horrible work ethic
