Amazing place. Most importantly, people that work here have a huge, kind heart. Ukrainian community in Hampton Roads would like to THANK the entire team of cafe Stella and the owner Mariusz! (Poland, you rock too!!!????). Thank you for allowing us to fundraise for Ukraine via our donation box placed in your cafe! The funds are being used by our Tidewater Ukrainian school for sending humanitarian and medical supplies to Ukraine weekly. Every cent goes straight toward helping Ukraine through trusted, vetted sources. Thank you, guys, Ukraine truly appreciates it! A friend in need is a friend indeed!!!??❤️?
Thier food, coffee and just had a specialty cake made for my birthday. This place is just amazing and one of our favorite spots in Norfolk. Love it! Shout out to Stella for the amazing Lemon Rasberry birthday cake!
Cafe Stella looks small from the street but when you enter, the space is open and dotted with tables. It has low lighting, antique decor, and another bar in the center that brings a feeling of comfort.Their menu is large and can be intimidating when you look at it above the register. From sandwiches to pastries, specialty tea to more common bread coffee choices, your not short on options. I choose the Green Lady juice and the last scone from the display case. The juice was surprisingly sweet with hints of ginger. I could taste the celery on the back of my tongue. The scone had a dab of apricot jam in the center. It was particularly moist. I've never had a scone this well-made with. It didn't fall apart in my hand all while feeling light. I wanted another one but I have to get here earlier for that. All in all, I'm definitely returning to try more of the menu. I barely scratched the surface of this place.
It’s been a while since I’ve been truly excited to find a new place and Café Stella is it. A great fresh menu selection of drinks and food and more. Very casual and upbeat atmosphere with different seating for different moods. The black bean burger and the chai latte were simply incredible! Definitely going back when I have room to sample some of the delicious looking desserts.
Huge fan of Cafe Stella! Great place to post up and do work or to meet up with a friend to hang out. The food isn’t always the biggest portions but I’ve never had anything that didn’t taste good (surprisingly good burgers). The coffee is good and really well priced (ask for their whipped cream…it makes everything even better). It is often busy but not it a bad way because the atmosphere stays homey and warm. Easily one of my favorite coffee shops in the Hampton Roads (Coalescence is great too).
Went in around 8 pm and the weather was perfect and so was the visit! The place was spotless and the music was great but not too loud. The highlight of the night however was the amazing staff! Specifically Katlyn, she was so helpful and kind. Definitely recommend going! (Also the food was so good I highly recommend the turkey sandwich)
I frequent Cafe Stella on a weekly basis. This is the only place that I buy whole bean coffee, which is prepared by the owner in-house. Along with a can of coffee, you will receive a complimentary beverage. The best food is the salmon & lox bagel, the turkey club, and bigos. The new expanded space allows so much more people to drink and work.
Love me some Cafe Stella! The people who work here are so friendly, the food is great (they have a lot of breakfast options which is really nice) and the coffee is wonderful! There’s a lot of room here and it is both cozy and chic! Highly recommend! They also have a nice selection of local beers too which I really enjoy!
I love Stellas and have been coming here for years. It’s a great space and one of the only places in Norfolk where you can really sit and work. They have an extensive menu and I always enjoy the bar tenders. Over the last few years though the consistency and quality of the food has gone downhill. It’s very expensive for what it is and I feel like I never get the same dish twice even though I order the same things. The portions are small as well. Everything is an up charge and the food unfortunately just isn’t worth it any more. I wish they would condense the menu to do a few things really well. I still enjoy the coffee and atmosphere and do recommend it as a location to visit and stay a while.
Got the Turbo Cola and a Cafe Burger. Legitimately one of the best burgers I've had in my life, easy top 5. Bunch of wonderful flavors mixed in top of an amazing beef patty. The Turbo Cola was probably one of the most interesting drinks I've had. Was like a coffee mixed with soda and the energy of a redbull or two. Definitely interesting.Highly recommend this place, not bad at all for the price.
