So pleased with my order! I ordered the catfish and grits, and the sautéed green beans for delivery. My meal arrived quickly, it was HOT and was very tasty. I will be making a visit to the restaurant. Thank you!
It was surprise birthday party.. Brunch.. the food was great. The party was in the back room buffet style near the bar...LOOK LOOK..WE HAD!!.steak ,salmon, shrimp, OMG turkey wings, grits with two different type of sauce, potatoes, collard greens macaroni and cheese!!! Food at Bricksters 600 is a fabulous taste of Southern foods! Reasonable price points. Wonderful ambiance. One of the newest secrets in downtown Norfolk! Wait staff was delightful!! We will be back!
Had the opportunity to have a meal at Bricksters today. The food was great and the menu had great selections. This used to Croaker Spot so there were some of the original decor.
You will not be disappointed! From location to decor, service and food Brickster's 600 is a delight. Our appetizer if Fried Salmon bites was delicious as was the Salmon Cake with Collard and Mac-n-Cheese I had as an entree. The Rack of Lamb was initially served a bit too done but, was newly prepared to our liking without an issue. An all around delightful dining experience. I plan to return to partake of other menu items and on a night when they have live music.
The food was awesome!! The steak and fries were well seasoned and cooked to perfection. The grits were soooo creamy and delicious. Easy street parking, great friendly service. Nice atmosphere with music playing in the background. I will return and recommend you give them a try.
One of the best restaurant total experiences that I've had in the Hampton Roads!!! Modern decor, great background music, exceptional service, topped off with the most delicious entrees!!! I ordered the fried crab cake, candied yams, and collard greens. ?
I paid 25.00 and when my food was delivered, I had only ONE Turkey Wing in my try of food, a super small portion of collard greens and salty Mac n cheese. I have not been this disappointed with a restaurant in many years. My husband couldn't eat his stuffed salmon because it was so dry. Never ,Ever Again!!!
We visited Brickster's 600 during our first trip to Norfolk. Had high expectations based on the reviews and menu. Made a 6:30 reservation but arrived at 6:00. We were pleasantly surprised when they were able to seat us right away. That's where the positive experience ended. We waited quite a while for our server to arrive. Almost immediately after putting in our order, the manager comes to double check on us and confirm our orders. She scurried back to the kitchen right away, so we expected that our food would be out soon. After a long while, we were still waiting on our food. People who arrived after we did got their food ahead of us. So, I went to find the manager. We were told that the food was coming right up. About 10 minutes later, our cold food started to arrive...this was 90 minutes after we got to the restaurant. The manager came back to the table to let us know that there was a large party in the restaurant, and it "was a case of priorities". They gave us a 30% discount for our troubles. With that kind of service and a subpar meal -- crab cakes, yams, collards, whiting, salmon, Brussel sprouts -- we won't be coming back here.
