Fun place to hangout, good food and drinks !
It was good, minus the creepy old guys constantly staring at the girl I was with who made her so uncomfortable we had to leave.So don't go here if you want to feel comfortable with your lady friends.
Got take-out. The wings were supposed to be half Old Bay, half medium Buffalo. I got the Old Bay, but the other half was plain, no sauce! The wings were rather fatty too.The nachos were okay, but the chips, even though I only live about 10 minutes away were completely soggy. Still tasted alright. I also called to ordered the Southwest Rolls but was told they were out. Kind of disappointed to know they don't make those in house and they are probably frozen. I've been to various AJ Gators around Hampton Roads before including this location. Just kind of bummed with the quality this time.
I've been to different AJ Gators Bars in the 757 and there all reasonably priced on Food and Drinks. Bartenders and Waitresses are friendly and good on service. I never had Tuna Bits before but I'm happy I tried them along with Fish Tacos...Yummy.
Just ordered take out and brought it home. I ordered a burger medium well done. It was rare inside. Didn't eat it. My girlfriend ordered a grilled shrimp salad and got a chef's salad. She had to drive back to get the correct order. If I had known my burger was rare I'd have gone back too. I should have checked.On a good note, the restaurant did promise to refund the cost of the meals. Check your order to make sure it's up to snuff before you leave.Note: No one wearing mask, not even the staff, so if you have concerns about the more contagious omicron variant you might want to give this place a hard pass.
This was the worst order and pick-upexperience ever!! Order was wrong, and I didn’t realize it until I drove home, called first to let them know that I was bringing it back for the right order, had to wait half hour for a salad…while the bartender was eating behind the bar, serving drinks and not washing her hands!!!! Clearly we will not be orderingFrom here anymore!!!! May even report to the health department….
Food was excellent, waitress was pleasant, sweet tea was amazing! I ordered the fresh tuna wrap and it was to die for! Nice atmosphere, not too crowded.

A.J.Gators has a great menu. Something for everyone. The food is always great, as is the service.
