We stopped here because the name intrigued us. Super friendly cashier/waitress explained everything to us. The burgers all have Viking names, and some have something called viking sauce. The food- burgers, fries and onion rings-was all piping hot and very tasty. It's not fancy, but it's definitely not average. Plenty of choices and decent prices.

Rolling into New Port News on a warm Sunday afternoon, me and my family were looking for something different as far as burgers. We found a hole in the wall restaurant called Viking Burger. I wished I had found this place sooner, the food is cooked and seasoned beyond perfection! Gavin provided exceptionally great customer service taking orders, making sure everyone’s cup was full! He also wanted to remind me that the real credit was from his kitchen staff in the back providing the culinary delights. Are you in the mood for something different, something exciting or something new, check this little restaurant out! As for us, we will definitely be back when we return to the Hampton/ Newport News area! The menu is on google, but they also have specials too!

A fairly meh place with neither an exciting menu or atmosphere. I got 2 burgers, 2 drinks, and some viking fries that came out to 30 some odd dollars. It was definitely $10 too much. The burgers come open face to hide the fact that you only get. Little burger for about $10. The taste was very basic and not at all special. I'm pretty sure the Viking fries were just regular fries with Hormel chili and canned nacho cheese sauce.Don't come here thinking the atmosphere will be very "Viking". This is a repurposed Mexican restaurant with the minimal amount of Viking theme. It's mostly old movie posters. As I went to leave it was noticed that the cooks weren't using gloves to make the food. So my 2 star review dropped to 1.I'll be going anywhere else for a better burger and environment than here.

First time patron and was so disappointed. After my mom suggested to visit bcs they were voted top burger joint a few years ago. So here are my issues: 1-The place is really tiny. Not very cozy. Chairs wobbly and only 6 tables for dining…one table was taken up as a desk by the owner. 2-Cashier was loud and cold. Since it was my first time, I was not aware of the protocol for ordering and the exchange was awkward. She never asked me what I wanted on my burger. I had to painstakingly and awkwardly work through adding lettuce tomato onions and pickles…duh! Really??? Just a basic burger. And on their chalkboard they have a “Tuesday Special”, she had to look on the chalkboard to see what it was. Really? And if she says “fully dressed” one more time, I’m going to blow a gasket. 3-The selling of the fries as great is not good. They have some sort of funky taste. Probably freezer funk. They may have picked up the air from being in the freezer for too long. I am sad to say that this is a 1-and-done experience. 5-Guys and Mooyah’s are tops!!!

I'm always down for a great burger and fries. I've tried Viking Burger twice now - once for take out and once for delivery. The first time I dived into their specialty Vera burger with Ragnarok fries and torcs on the side. The burger was very good - flavorful and juicy because of the grilled pineapple. The smothered onion rings and fries were okay. I wasn't a fan overall of the mixture (and I love loaded fries or tots at other places). The second time I had their Alf burger with Viking Fries. The bun had great flavor and the burger overall was pleasing though the patty was a bit overcooked and dry. I imagine it would be better eating at the restaurant. Again though, just wasn't a fan of their potato offerings. I'm not a fan of the cut they use or the cooking method. I think if I go back I'll get a burger with no extras.

Delicious, juicy, fresh, burger and really good fries too. Seating area for about 12-15 customers. Ketchup & mustard on request, in single packets. Plasticware on request. Definitely will be going back...tonight!

Legitimately the best burger I’ve ever had, the Valkyrie burger definitely gave me a true taste of Valhalla … this Maryland girl will definitely be back for another 💕

My 2nd time at Viking burger and probably my last. I had the Oden burger and it really did not taste well at all. I also ordered a side of fries which were extremely greasy and it appeared the oil needed to be changed in the frier based on the taste. You would think for 14 bucks before tip the food would be better.

Thorfinn burger was great. Order prepared on time as promised and prices are reasonable. Viking sauce is original. Really cool theme. Will eat here again.

Awesome burger, friendly staff, and great sides. Fries, onion ring, tots, all great and they rotate new burgers into the lineup pretty regularly. Or, make you're own. Be aware, their spicy stuff is actually spicy! :)
