Food was good. Server was good. Rob was great. But one of the individuals who brought the food to our table was incredibly rude, which was odd as of the rest were great. Luckily we were pretty much done and didn't have to deal with him anymore. Still ruined a great experience. But than again he came in and walked past us in pajama pants on his way to the bathroom to change, so maybe no awake and grouchy. Shouldn't be a server.
The salad bar was amazing! The meats were cooked to perfection. The price is reasonable considering the amount of food available. The dessert was shared by the table. The cider was cold and delicious. The servers were attentive.
Not as good as the other Brazilian steakhouses. Meat was tougher and had less flavor. Salad bar was the best part of the experience. Okay for a lunch but not a special occasion spot.
Was staying in a hotel just around the corner and happened to discover this restaurant. Good friendly staff and the food was excellent.
Hosted our rehearsal dinner here and was incredibly disappointed by service. Only received one round of the meats, while they focused on running up our tab with bringing us more drinks and no actual sustenance.
Hosted our Rehearsal dinner at Tucanos. Meat servers only came through once and refused to give us additional portions. Requested several times that our tables wanted more meat, but it appeared the only thing that could hear was our drink orders so they could run up our tab on our empty bellies. Would not recommend.
Just went here for the first time, on a lunch date. It was absolutely beautiful..the decor was bright which enhanced the mood and the music was festive. There was no wait time around noon but you could tell closer to dinner time they can get pretty full. The drinks were to die for! The meats were like heaven!!! and the dessert just sent me to another galaxy!! The staff was really nice!! Oh! And the unlimited salad bar was so fresh and yummy!! I didn’t capture any photos of my meats and salad because I was so hungry and devoured them so quickly lol I was literally in heaven lol I will come back
We went to visit this restaurant, in Newport News, VA. The location and facilities are excellent, the employees are super attentive, but the food leaves a lot to be desired. It's not an authentic Brazilian food. I only saw two varieties of meat, without any seasoning, just dipped in barbecue sauce and then grilled on the rotisserie. Tasteless chicken. The “feijoada” was very watery and also tasteless. Fried bananas do not compare to the authenticity of the Brazilian version, which uses plantain, fried without being breaded, but the salads and the sauteed collard green were excellent. I ordered a lemonade with passion fruit, but it didn't taste like passion fruit at all.
Subpar in almost every aspect, very nice location however and décor was nice. Food quality, however was the reason it was subpar I was surprised on how poorly most of the so-called Brazilian fare compared to actual Brazilian cuisine. My wife is Brazilian and i am quite familiar with true Brazilian cuisine, especially Bahian. Very few items they have even come close, but not just terribly off but also terrible. I am surprised they don't import some of the necessary ingredients ( farofa, plantains).. My wife said, she does not want to return there to eat. I am glad I did go simply to be aware of how poor it is, I will try Fogo de Chao in DC/Baltimore now for comparison. They have good reviews.
I would normally recommend this place. We went in February 2020 and it was great. But our recent visit last night(February 15 2022) was not so great. We had a reservation at 6pm. Our server was awesome, but the meat going around was lacking and very disappointing. I would have expected more than the 3 items that were in rotation literally the whole time we were there. Every time they had something new come out, they would literally start on the opposite side of the restaurant than where we were and by the time it got to us, there was nothing left. But for some reason still, the same 3 meats would constantly be offered on our side. I had asked 3 different guys if they were going to have any new items come out and our way, even pork. All three said they didn't have any pork tonight. One guy said they had pulled pork. Another guy mentioned pork sausage, but the others still said they had no pork. However... when we first got there, there were pork sausage going around, then stopped. By the time we gave up with only tasting the 3 rotating meats and ordering the additional shrimp skewers, we gave up and was ready to just order desert and leave. This is when I really got upset... not only where they finally coming out with different items, after we ordered desert, but they were going around with PORK LOIN! I'm not sure what kind of Mickey Mouse Club BS they are trying to pull, but I was very disappointed this time around! To add that they didn't have anything ready besides those three meats at 6pm and start rotating the different stuff at like 8pm is just ridiculous. Management needs to do better and paying attention to detail especially when it comes to they guy rotating the meat!
