Mom and I went to Sage Kitchen today for lunch. Things have changed there so much since we were last there. We got there at 11 when they opened. We had to go up to the Counter to order and get our drink cups and pay. Our order came out in a reasonable time. The food was great. The food came out in disposable containers. We did have to clear our table. I did notice that tables were not being wiped down after customers had been there. I dont know if they disinfect the tables after the first wave of customers or if this is typical now. The prices are expensive 44.00 for sandwiches and sides. We did upgrade our sides, but there are plenty of resturants out there that are great and dont charge 2.00 extra for fries!

This restaurant is inside Anderson's, which is another reason I love it. Don't come here expecting a "normal" sit down restaurant, but you will leave with a smile on your face and a full belly. They have some options that change seasonally/weekly. Service was friendly. Food is made fresh to order and delicious. There are plenty of options for even the pickiest eaters.

Thank You Sage Kitchen at Anderson's for your wholesome food atmosphere...Our"Fellowshipping &A Foodie" group choice, dine-in eatery for the month was your lovely restaurant. We had a "Great day" at your food establishment... ?We really enjoyed your all natural home-made foods menu, and also nestled rite in the heart of beautiful Anderson's Garden Center. The Chunky Chicken salad sandwich on a sweet bread croissant was tasty and sweet potato fries was "Outstandingly Delish" ?We gave your lovely restaurant a 5 star rating, because of the many fresh homemade drinks, food, vegetables, herbs and spices, which is good food medicine for the soul...Plus that gorgeous Garden Center of many plants, herbs, flowers, decorative designed items of "Home Sweet Home" indoor and outdoor decors. And a slew of all-home grown Lil Mom & Pop shop items, located rite inside your wonderful establishment...Thanks again Sage Kitchen, will come back now, "Ya hear! ?#Let Food be Thy Medicine... And Medicine be Thy Food...?

We are frequent eaters at/from Sage Kitchen, either dine in or take out. Last 2 orders (ToGo) we made at Newport News location, they messed it up. My daughter always eats their "Traeger Meister" sandwich. Last order was extremely spicy and she could not eat it, we throw it away. When we wanted another order today, we mentioned the last order, they had zero effort to fix their mistake for the previous order and they said they will put the sauce separately this time. I came home which 28 minutes away and opened the boxes, there is No sauce in it at all.I think VA Beach location works properly but not Newport News one. So sad, because VA Beach location is almost 40 minutes away from us...

Excellent food. I love that they had organic options and you could tell the chicken tenders were hand breaded. Great option for the kids. My husband said his chicken quesadilla was excellent and they had a vegan cauliflower curry bowl for me which was amazing. A must try spot! The staff were all super nice too

Quality fresh food. Notably: The shroom wrap and the tomato basil soup. The shroom wrap is delicious, but overpriced. It's what I get when I feel like treating myself to a luxury. The tomato basil soup is fantastic, and is to die for. I recommend ordering a croissant ? with it. It is savory, smooth, and all around a joy to consume. The tipping culture here is a bit, weird, but not uncomfortably so.Great place for lunch / early dinner before they close, but it is on the higher end of the price spectrum.

The food was excellent and plentiful. It was served quickly and hot. I really enjoyed my sandwich and fries.

The food is always good here, every time. Quality ingredients, freshly prepared, and a menu that changes with the seasons. If you haven't been here in awhile, like in a year or two, note that their procedures have changed. Now you check out the menu at the table set up in the entranceway. Then go directly to the counter to order. Then take a seat and a number and your server will bring your order out to you when it's ready. Great place for fast, healthy, casual fare.

We loved our food! Everything was fresh and tasty. The patio is beautiful with plants all around. They even gave us some dog treats for our pups! The one thing I’d like to see improved is to add a vegetarian protein option like tofu or seitan.
