The place is clean, server are korean, the menu its not huge very accesible. As a person who knows Korean food ans has experience on tasting this is not my place to go , they didn't have any Korean drinks and sadly no water either. Just tap. The bibimbop I got I got an over cooked egg, not raw how it was supposed to come as. And the little condiment plates where only 4 variety the lunch plates are very small for 10+ $ and to be honest I tasted olive oil on the rice and bean sprouts instead of sesame oil. The kitchen wasent curated enough. The pepper paste was not very spicy. So... I think the use a cheap one or a mix with water. Over all the time , service and cleaners was a 5 but food tasting is a 2. I can't belive they do not have steam eggs!!! Oh and this is not a grill on the table Korean bbq place. Correct that Google. Is a dine in kitchen service. See pictures below follow for more

The Tempura Shrimp is foodservice butterfly shrimp. When asked, the waitress replied with “we call tempura shrimp fried shrimp.” The steamed mandoo was good but with little dipping sauce for the amount of dumpling (I’m worried they don’t make that in house either), and the bulgogi was not all that warm when I got it. For what I paid, that was not worth it. Kyung Sung is much better for the same price.

Best Korean food in the Hampton Roads area by far! Highly recommend

This was my first time here, so these are my first impressions. I ordered Beef Bulgogi and Bi Bim Bap to go. Both were delicious. The beef bulgogi was enough for two people. The beef was tender and flavorful and the sides of kimchi and spicy cucumbers were both excellent. The Bi Bim Bap was also delicious and I could not eat it all in one sitting.I posted a picture of the feast. I would definitely recommend eating here as I will be back! Great customer service and the food was delicious !!! We will definitely go back.

Authentic Korean food at a reasonable price. Recommended!

We decided to finally try Chung Oak after hearing it was very good. Well, it is. We began with mind which were totally stuffed with filling and delicious. My son ordered the beef won ton soup and drank that bowl up not to miss a drop. He asked when are we going back right away. I ordered the bibimbap which was so finely done they even julienned the mushrooms, boy was it good. My husband had the beef bulgogi and it was delicious because I stole some from him. We had lots of fun talking to the owner /server about our love for all things Korean and all of us tried speaking some phrases we have learned via Kdrama, my son said "Ool ge mah" to her and she had a good laugh along with us. WE ARE GOING BACK...

This is by far the best Korean food on the Peninsula. This was our first visit and we were so impressed. The staff was beyond friendly and helpful. The food was perfect. Served fast. Hot, fresh, and delicious. We will be back soon and I recommend everyone try this place.

My new GO TO Korean restaurant. I love the authenticity of this place and 3 out of the 4 servers go above and beyond (even with my little 2.5 y/o hellion ?). I appreciate the time they take to make sure I’m always satisfied, food comes out in a decent amount of time, prices are reasonable + it feels homey. For some odd reason, I don’t have any pictures atm. But as soon as I go back (in a few days) I’ll be sure to update this.? DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!

Very nice setup, I loved the food I had some beef and rice and it was amazing. It is on the main road which was very easy to find and get to. I would recommend this place if you love Korean food. This was my first time trying it.
