The food was cold, including the spring rollls, egg rolls and the soup - which what I really wanted on a cold wet day. This was during the height of lunch while the restaurant was busy and the food waa just replenished. Nothing was over room temperature. The sushi was mush, and there was a long wait for the Mongolian which was made without love and flavorless. (I chose my own flavors but everything must have been watered down). I will not visit here again, which is a shame because it is close to work! Was hoping for better! UPDATE: Food wan warm this time, the rice close to hot. Otherwise, still lacking in taste and the Hibachi and sushi still had no love. Happy the temperature was better, still wishing the food was made with more love. 2 stars this time to applaud the service and improved temps.
This afternoon my family and I consisting of two children under 10 and me and my spouse came here for dinner. At first glance everything seemed very appealing until further inspection when I went to get a salad there was fuzzy mold on the shredded cheddar cheese and also old veggies and re-cooked fish everything had a film on it and a unpleasant taste after stumbling upon the cheese I immediately took it to the head lady and pulled her to the side very discreetly where she then started to get very combative and told me that she would give me $10 off my $51 bill They also gave us Chick-fil-A straws and that’s where I felt I should’ve known not even to sit down Definitely a -4 stars
The food looked delicious and tasted like it too. Wish I could have tried the usually but I was on strict diet of only fruits and vegetables. Now, I could not wait to leave a review because someone please tell whoever makes the banana pudding that that is NOT banana pudding. I knew it looked different but I was open to a little remix. Um, hello who makes it, the Biggest ingredients are WAFERS, AND BANANAS. There is NO dried out tasteless cake. That's not banana pudding and it is not a good remix of it too. It was the most tasteless, and gross thing I have ever tried. Banana pudding is a very sweet dessert and I dont know what I just tasted because I didn't even taste the flavor of bananas and no sweetness. Good luck with convincing those who know banana pudding. it was very disappointing bc I took it all the way back across states to enjoy when my diet was over and I feel pranked lol. I did appreciate the cleanliness and safety measures they are taking to stay safe. My family enjoyed, but they knew to stay away from the pudding to not leave with disappointment.
Food does not seem fresh at all. Tastes like it's been cooked for four five days and reheated.
The place is not bad at all. The food is very good. They have a huge variety of Asian dishes. I usually love the egg drop soup, but recently I have been in love with one of their fish soups. It’s like boiled Tilapia soup with vegetables. I’m not sure of the actual soup name but it’s amazing.The waitress are attentive and don’t stand over you. They don’t ask how the food is when your mouth of stuffed lol. When people leave, the clean the whole area. They move the tables, sweep and mop.For my military folks, yes there is military discount.
The WORST.. I saw a worker just cross contaminated right in front of me!! Using the same tongs in pork and fish so I asked her, " Right in my face huh?. You do know that's cross contamination!!" She acted as if she could careless, left the tongs in pork and walked away!! Never Again!!!! EWWWW THE RESTROOMS ARE DISGUSTING!!!! HAD I SEEN THAT 1ST?? WOULD'VE NEVER ATE THERE!!!!
Love the food at this place cost is very reasonable but yesterday we had the rudest waitress ever did not even want her at the table
Horrible service. The girl serving us was extremely rude. She never ONCE asked us if we wanted refills or if we were ok! She was also rude in the way she spoke to us. She just said “Bill” without saying “please” or “thank you” or even smiling at us! She was also rude to my 11-year-old daughter! The food wasn’t bad, but I won’t be coming back here again.
For was cold off the buffet and the food didn't taste all that great. Service was bad. We had to hunt the young lady down to get refills. Then she disappeared yet again. Ticket was 71.40 I feel cheated. I will never go back to this place. First time in Newport News, VA and wanted to try something different. Bad choice for us.
The food and people are awesome. My family and I have been going here and the other restaurants in run by Susan for 15+ years but because estranged family keeps getting mentioned, I will not be going there again. Go for the food, not the friendship.
