I want to start by saying Wood and Iron has some of the best fried pickles I've ever had. However, I was not so blown away by the smokehouse burger. The glaze they put on the burger made it way too sweet. The crispy onions were drenched with this glaze/sauce as well making them soggy onions. Having said that, the Cuban sandwich and Cajun fries my wife ordered were great. I will be back. Overall this was a good experience, but it could've been better.
The service was great and there are a lot of options available on the menu. A great beer selection and multiple TVs both inside and out to enjoy the games on. The smoked and grilled fiery BBQ wings were on point and I will be back to try their fire wings that required a waiver. I tried the cuban sandwich and cajun fries, both which were good, but the sandwich was a touch salty for me despite the meat being super tender. Hush puppies and the pretzel app were really tasty too. I would definitely visit again.
Maybe it was an off day....we sat outside on the patio for beer and a burger. Only a a few tables had customers but we sat and looked at 6 tables that had not been cleaned off immediately around us. Probably a very limited staff....but only a few customers inside. On a positive note we arrived just in time to order two delicious dark beers on happy hour half price $2.99 each!!! A real bargain...and the cheeseburger and fries were very good too. Our server was nice and very attentive. We will give it another try on a day other than a Monday.
Perfect spot for good grub and sports. Be careful if your team is losing, feelings might get crushed from other spectators lol. The game day special was perfect for both of us.
Service was good. Food was a great value and also tasted very good. We had Smoked Jalapeños Poppers, Fish Tacos and a half Dinner Salad. Very enjoyable dinner.
My wife and I stopped in last week. Is have stopped in sooner had I known how good the guys was!I ordered a half size cobb salad with the steak and cheese egg rolls. Had to take the egg rolls home because I was stuffed after the half sized salad!My wife had a caesar salad, (huge), and fish tacos. Great food. Obnoxious servers. Not the least bit friendly. They tried to negotiate outdoor table seating rather than clean off one of several tables that were being ignored as 4 servers stood around inside the door, chatting. But, the food is very, very good.
The service was slow and sparse. We got shown to a table with no menus and had to wait a while for the waiter to come to serve us. It was only then that we found out it was all online with a QR code. We had to wait for him to come back and take our order. Around 15 minutes after we ordered, someone brought out a side salad and threw it on the table muttering something about a salad. We waited for another 15 minutes until we asked another server if there might be an update on our food as we had two young kids with us and they were really starting to squirm. He couldn’t have cared less about us, but mumbled something about there being at least a 45 minute wait for food which was never mentioned to us before. We decided to stick it out because we figured it couldn’t be that much longer. A half an hour later, our food finally came. It was good, but my son’s burger was cold and refused to eat it. We couldn’t face sending it back as it would have been an even longer wait. It did look like they were short staffed, but that’s really no excuse for giving customers no warning for a long wait or cold food. This is not the place for families.
Largest nachos appetizer ever seen. Great sports bar. Highly recommended.
I wish I would of gotten a salad. Almost everything on the menu is fried. The pineapple ? slaw was terrible. I got the wings and I thought I was getting bone in and I got boneless. They were very nice to take them back and bring bone in. The fried pickles were good but again, fried. Our waitress was very nice and took our picture. We were a party ? of nine. We even got a brownie to go for my grandson's birthday. The glass and floor could of used cleaning.
