Great experience! Came with my partner on a Tuesday evening. Normally we go to the broad st location, but we wanted to switch things up. We ordered our usual: wings, edamame, chashu buns, and shrimp tempura for apps. We got both spicy miso ramen with pork for our main. Everything was delicious and same high quality as the other location! Only downside is they don’t have chicken on a stick on their menu, but with the price of chicken I don’t blame them. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food and equally amazing service
Great food! Love the different appetizer options and the lady in red roll sushi.
The Ramen here is superb. I am a quarter Japanese so I have an obaachan and she likes it here too. It's so authentic. It is good, and polite service, and the restaurant is always clean and fun. With the price of imported Japanese and Asian foods it is comparable price wise to cooking at home. Highly highly recommend!!!
Outstanding meal - appetizers were solid, Classic Ramen and Chicken Shoyu ramen were both amazing. Having had Hakata style ramen in Japan, I feel like this is the best and closest to it I’ve tried in RVA (and actually the US in general). It’s awesome - go here and try it! Service was great too.
I used to live in Asia - have had many a bowl of Hakata style ramen in Japan and beyond. This is among the best I’ve had in the US, including in NYC. I had the classic ramen, and my wife had the chicken Shoyu. Both were awesome. All of the apps were great too (gyoza, fried oysters, chicken karage). I’ll be coming back here repeatedly. It is a legit ramen joint that we are lucky to have in Midlothian.
Got the classic ramen and an order of Takoyaki. Man that broth in the ramen was to die for. Not a fan of soft boiled eggs but that egg was so good. The Takoyaki is such a treat, great presentation, love the flavor.
So good!!! We devoured our food too fast to get good photos. We shared the okonomiyaki, takoyaki and classic ramen and had a glass of wine. The ramen broth is so rich and flavorful and more like a tonkatsu broth to me (my favorite) and the noodles had the perfect texture and chew to them. The takoyaki was perfect and the piece of octopus inside was nice and tender. The okonomiyaki was also delicious. Their version is more doughy and pancake like instead of all cabbage like some versions. I like theirs. Service was great and the place is really nice inside. They have happy hour every day 4:30-7:30! Definitely coming back!!!
The ramen was so good! Not overly salty like many places. Noodles had the perfect bite. The chashu bun and dumplings were great as well. We'll definitely be back!
My family got the Miso Chicken, Tempura with Rice, Soy Ginger Chicken wings, and Chicken Shoyu Ramen. Our server Ben has done amazing with his job, everything was brought quickly and it all was really delicious. I'd rate it more if I could!!!
Ate here a couple days ago, and the Ramen was superb! The appetizers could have been better as it seemed like they were prepared and then reheated. Drink deals/ Happy Hour seemed like a great place to grab a drink. Our server was a young man who was quiet and professional. My Miso Udon was delicious, the seaweed gave the dish the feeling of the ocean and was very refreshing! The Tempura Shrimp was amazing too! My only gripe was that for a 50cent can of soda it was $2 and its non-refillable.
