I was so ready to eat some good soul food, hadn't been here in a long time, read over the reviews b4 I came, take the drive 2 come & eat from her new menu & just like 1 of the reviews said she likes 2 change the hours of when she is open! It's 6:30 pm & Google says she is open until 8pm, this place was closed with a sign on the door! Had 2 go 2 my old spot!
I was looking forward to ordering my Sunday dinner for pick up today. It's a 20 minute ride from my house, so I order ahead. I have been calling since 12:15. First I was on hold for more than 5 minutes. Now I'm being sent to a full mailbox and told to hang up. I'll try some other time. I had hoped to at least be on my way home with my food by now.

My family and I ordered takeout yesterday and thought the food was great. The meatloaf and mac and cheese were delicious. The cabbage was okay but under seasoned. The potato salad was placed in the same takeout box as the hot food so it was warm when we got home but still tasty. The cornbread was our least favorite part of the meal as it was extremely dry and tasteless. Overall the meal was good and we will return.
Food is good and pricing is good, but the owner never has a set schedule and changes closing days and times too often. She can't keep any help and they hardly ever answer the phone also. Her portions are too small as well including the cornbread. Now that Golden Corral is open I probably will not be going to Ma Michelle's anymore. The last time I was there the lady forgot to put my side orders into my bag and had an attitude.
Delicious food! I had the veggie platter with Mac & cheese, sweet potato casserole, fried cabbage and cornbread, everything was yummy. The decor is very cute and funky.Ma Michelle was super nice. Currently they only do takeout, you can order at the counter or call in, but you can eat inside (or one table outside). Loved it! We will definitely be back.

Chicken and Waffles were very good, chicken was seasoned to perfection and waffle was light and fluffy!
Gave it 2 stars because the first time I had it, it was amazing but today's order not so much. I don't know if it's supposed to be this "toasted" but it didn't taste very good, fish was over-salted but I was so hungry I had to force myself to eat it but after eating almost half I just couldn't do it anymore. Sucks I couldn't eat it all because I paid money for the overpriced food but lesson learned I guess
It was our first time going and we were willing to give them a try. I thought since it was a mom and pop place we would give them some support. However it is over priced... I can honestly say I can make a better homemade meal at home.. it could just be them struggling to get back after covid. But still, more salt doesn't make the food better. Please do not waste your money. I normally don't give reviews, but I just had to this time.Another review said they wonder how it got 4.4 with all the negatives, I did the same thing after I went and I am wondering myself. I wish I looked at the reviews first. (I normally do,so I can be surprised when I go to a place for the first time when it does have negative reviews)I just wish this place would look at the reviews and apply the critical remarks and correct them. Also, it seems the same negative reviews are saying the same thing.
