Best Italian food ever. Seriously. Everything is so well done and delicious it’s a hidden treasure!
We have had dinner at La Cucina quite a few times. It's been awhile since we have been out to a restaurant so we are thrilled they are still open! In 2019 we had the opportunity to go to Italy and if you are looking for authentic Italian food you need to eat at La Cucina! They also have a great assortment of wines to choose from. Service is great and you will typically meet one of the owners to ensure everything has met your expectations! :) We will be back again!
We ordered lasagna and manicotti. Portion sizes were great. Food was hot great temperature. Enough for another meal. However it requires additional seasoning effort to give me the flavor you would want. My wife had a manicotti and I had the lasagna. When I asked my wife will she ever order again ? Her response was no way!! I have to agree with her.
Stopped in the other night someone told us their pizza was good, and we ordered a salad and a pizza. The waitress checkout order and said she’d be back with some bread, that didn’t happen we finally got salad the very end after asking a third time we got some bread with a comment from the waitress we usually don’t get bread with pizza so I guess you have to order something more than pizza and a salad if you want bread . I’m sure the bread a huge expense. The pizza crust taste like frozen cardboard in the ingredients didn’t taste any fresher I wouldn’t even put this pizza in the top 10 I’ve any I’ve had so obviously whoever told my wife the pizza was good doesn’t know much about good pizza. I will never be back the pizza stinks in the service is worse.BK
I read a review of the carbonara, and had my mouth set on that dish when I walked in - today (Saturday lunchtime). As I browsed the menu, I didn’t see it listed. Referring back to the review, I realized it was offered as a special. When the server (incredibly friendly and helpful - ALSO 5 stars) came and asked what I wanted to order, I explained what had brought me in. She offered to ask the chef if he could accommodate my request, since they weren’t too busy.To my delight, he made it for me, and it was DELICIOUS. Full disclosure, when I make carbonara at home, I don’t follow the recipe for the classic dish - for one, I use bacon. The true dish calls for guanciale, which has a different flavor (though not unlike bacon). It is a … deeper saltiness, a subtler taste than crisped bacon (I love that too!).All that to say, bravo! For taking the time to make the dish for me when it wasn’t on special or on the menu, for offering to ask, for wonderful service… ALL WONDERFUL.A little sad that I live an hour and a half away, but I WILL BE BACk.
I really wanted to give 5 stars because I love their pizza a lot. Every time they never miss. But this time I changed up and got their special, the carbonara. Very disappointed in what I received. Complete scrambled eggs, bland, bacon that’s still rubbery and majority gristle. I was really shocked. I would give another shot with hesitation.
Not kidding - best lasagna I’ve ever had. I’m going back there for second night in a row. I wish we had this good food in California!!

Very disappointed. The Sea Bass and Shrimp Special was the size of 4 inches and only 2 shrimp!! WE WAITED 45 MIN for our food. Yes, they were busy, but had an early reservation...only saw the waitress to apologize 2x. My son ate off our plates cause he had NO Food!! Chicken Picatta was THIN and over cooked and the pasta sauce was bland. We all agreed...our family will not come back here and we were so excited to try out. Eggplant Parm was the only good meal. Do not waste your money...cheap Italian food...special portion of fish was embarrassing...and overpriced. Not Happy.
The best Italian chef in town, a family owned small business you will see??♂️
