Hot & Sour soup is excellent both hot & sour also has mushrooms & other veggies.Pork & Garlic sauce is very good lots of pork ,broccoli, baby corn and mushroom.Orange beef is excellent as well.

Many options online. Friendly staff. Everything tastes just a little off from places like allens out in powhatan and inner China in midlothian or Peking right down the street. Cost is a little high but hey they won an award 2 years ago worth a try to decide for yourself all I know is it's staying alive in a dying shopping center so they have to be doing something right.

For several years, I have bought takeout at Hunan Wok and been very pleased. Today’s order was disappointing, however. My orange chicken was quite chewy like chewing gum making it difficult to eat. The taste was acceptable and the wonton soup was enjoyable. I’m hoping that this was just a fluke.

Half the general tso and orange chicken was inedible, tough, over-fried and chewy. Orange chicken had no flavor, no hints of citrus at all. “Fried rice” was tasteless like white rice. There were no veggies, no egg or pork in it. It looked like white rice with soy sauce sprinkled on it. Disappointed considering it had so many positive reviews.

I have moved to Midlothian in the past year and have gotten takeout 2 times. In both orders the sauce has been a sickening sweet bbq type sauce each time. No matter what was ordered. The spring rolls are lovely, light and delicious. This last order I ordered the fried instead of the white rice. I put it on the plate along side the chicken entree and took one bite of the rice. The oil that was used to stir fry was old, maybe ransid. I had to throw it out. I won't be returning unless I hear that there are new staff in the kitchen. Thank you.

Had dinner there Christmas night, Outstanding food. Great sevice. Food flavor was on point. Put them on your bucket list !!!!

What happened to this place? In the past I would have given Hunan Wok 5 stars, but not last night. They are a bit far from our house, so it had been about a year since we had gone there. In the past, they could always be depended on for exceptional food. Łast night we ordered a couple of spicy chicken dishes and requested that they be made extra spicy. We also requested a couple of orders of Hot and Sour Soup. The chicken in both orders was extremely overcooked (to the point of being leathery) and neither of the chicken dishes were spicy, much less extra spicy. The soup also wasn't spicy. They were so mild that I ended out tasting some of the pre-packaged hot sauce just to make sure that I hadn't lost my sense of taste. (That was hot.) Somehow, in the past year the restaurant went from being an exception Chinese restaurant to being a mediocre one. I'm not sure if they changed owners or it was a very off night.

Have been getting our Chinese from here for years . . . it's excellent. Fast and the owners are wonderful. Highly recommend!

The food is always good and they are very nice

The food here is typical Richmond Chinese. They must all get their food from the exact same food service company. Except my fried rice was more like brown rice with a lot of soy sauce added. The food has a very strong pungent odor. Idk what that is? It’s rather affordable, but located in a business complex that looks absolutely desolate. Not a repeat place. Ty
