After an hour and 10 minute wait for delivery, I called the restaurant. I was told our order was cancelled. So, they retook my order and I was told it would be rushed. It arrived very quickly, and I was really impressed. Over an hour later, someone knocked on my door and it was my “rush order”. The first order, that I was told by the boss had been cancelled, was the first delivery. So, when I tried to explain to the delivery driver, he basically told me I was lying. I called to discuss with a manager, but was put on hold and no one ever picked up. We will not order from them again.
Entirely too many good pizza joints on Hull to be treated like this.Wednesday at 455pm, ordered 2 large pies, 1 gluten free and a dozen wings for delivery. Girl tells me 45 to an hour. At 1 hour and 30 minutes, I call for an update and I’m told they’ll be in the car in a few minutes. 30 minutes later, 2 hours in, I call again. This time I’m told “Unfortunately, we’re still waiting for the pizzas to be cooked”. Ah, no we’re not. Cancelled order. Went elsewhere. Won’t be back.
called at 4:54 pm today (May 18th) and was quoted a 45 min to 1 hour wait time. Called after an hour and a half and was told it was coming out the oven. Cut to 2 and 38 minutes later. No update. No call. Call to cancel my pizza only to be be blamed for canceling it while its already out and then told never to call back again. Been going here for years. What a joke the owner is to talk to a customer like that. Poor poor poor customer service.
Just ordered the steak Stromboli with a piece of Tiramisu. The tiramisu was pretty good but the steak Stromboli was no joke. I’ll order again very soon
The BEST pizza in the area! Great customer service and the owner is the nicest guy.
Been going here for years. Pizza is always consistent and the only pizza that truly feels unique. Steak & Cheese hoagies are unparalleled and their Italian subs are top tier, too. Talking to my neighbors and other friends at the gym, it’s become clear that almost everyone in the Cosby area prefers Gino’s for pizza. Great prices and very consistent food! Only knock is that the workers aren’t the most friendly on the phone, but are always great in person. The main dude, Johnny, is great! Knows his loyal customers by name and always hops up to help them. Also reminds each customer about their stamps, but 10 pizzas, get the next free. Used to be takeout only, but expanded to a normal restaurant about 5 years ago. Takeout still seems to be their bread & butter, but friends do rave about watching Bills Games in a place owned by Bills’ fans!
Food is good but definitely try to order at non peak times. Quality suffers when they’re busy. The pizza is really good as are the hoagies. Can be pricey for what it is comparable to other places like it.
If you like your pizza stone cold and 45 minutes late, Gino's is your place. If it takes 2+ hours to send a pizza 2 miles, you have a major problem with management. One and done for us...never again.
The chicken parm hoagie is the best I've had since moving down to VA from NYC 5+ years ago.
We love Gino’s…..when we dine in. Delivery service is another story. We are 3.5 miles away and ordered delivery on a Wednesday night. We were told our food would be delivered in an hour. No problem. After an hour and a half I called, I was told the driver was leaving. Ok. After an hour in 45 minutes I was told we are the second stop. After the 2 hour mark, I call again. While on hold, the delivery driver calls and says he is 5 miles away. Keep in mind we are only 3.5 miles away. We cancel the order. Very frustrating. Just want honest information!
