Walk in and order at the menu, kinda feel like your on the spot to order. We picked out two sausages with sides and beer and picked a table. Food came out reasonably fast and when placing an order online at the table for another beer it came out really quick.
Fest was a great visit with the family. We've been here before but since they had the addition and rearranged the menu a bit, it's even better now. The food and drinks altogether were right on and the pretzel is amazing as usual. This is a great place to have delicious food that isn't on your ordinary menu.
Great atmosphere, great food, great staff. Food came out in a timely manner. Staff had awesome knowledge for a first timer. And the ?... Yum.We will be going back to try more delicious food options. This round we enjoyed a pretzel ? with cheese and a sweet Bavarian mustard, apple chicken sausage over Mac and cheese with a amazing ? beet chutney and a smoked kielbasa with to die for apple bacon sour kraut. Omg ? yes please
Wonderful experience! We took advantage of a lovely day and ate outside, which is very nice and cozy, but the inside looks equally great. It was our first time here—but definitely not the last!—and we were all more than pleased with our food, which was beyond delicious (the house chips are addictive!). The staff was beyond nice, and not only really attentive and kind, but the kind of people who makes you feel really welcomed. And. The. Beers. Oh, my. Attention to details, quality, great atmosphere—highly recommended!
Went with my family today, the person who helped me order was very helpful and patient! The food especially the pretzel beer cheese was amazing and we had a great time. The only reason you’re not getting five stars is because there was not real ketchup! You need Heinz ketchup with high fructose corn syrup the way Americans love it! Loved your variety of mustard’s but you’ve got to get the ketchup right! How can you serve fries with fake ketchup?
My son and I both ordered the Philly burger one day and a couple of pints. The burger and house chips were awesome. The beer, well I had two that day. Yesterday we took the family out for lunch and once again ordered the Philly burger...Grand slam home run. Daughter had the chicken sandwich, huge portion, crispy yet still moist and tender. Grandson had his usual, grilled cheese and fries (just turned one) smiles all round. In fact everyone throughly enjoyed our time together on the outside patio. Bottom line a great place. By all means if you are close, get there!
Food was ok. Cheese dip was on the dry side. I'm not much of a beer drinker so i got the pineapple cider which was good. The young lady who brought out our food accidentally knocked over my daughter's chocolate milk all over my pants and shoes. She was very apologetic and grabbed a rag for me. She also gave us another chocolate milk. Overall if you love brats and beer this is the place to go.
Although I arrived too late to try their wonderful looking food I was able to enjoy one of the interesting beers they offer . They have a nice selection and I will be making the long trek from North Henrico to try the food soon!UPDATE:It is the next day and I drove out to try the food.Well worth the drive! I had the duck sausage on a bun with apple bacon krout and beer cheese along with a side of German potato salad and another of the beer from last night.everything was delicious.I love the German Bier garden atmosphere as well. Will definitely be back
Large beer selection. Dog friendly on the patio. Picnic tables on the patio.Fest uses online order and pay. It takes a minute to figure out, but it's not too complicated. Just keep in mind, if you don't want your appetizer and meal to come out at the same time, don't submit them at the same time. Our drinks came out quickly. The food (we ordered burgers) took longer, but they're made fresh to order, so that is to be expected. The food tasted great with my only comment being the buns were a bit dry and broke apart as I was eating the burger. The fries are excellent.
Some of our group are "German food connoisseurs" and said the German food was just mediocre. They got the schnitzel and when the food came asked for lemon since it is often served with it. She was told they didn't have any. I got a All American burger with fries and it was good. I actually really like the style of fries they had, with a breading on them. The beer was also good. My husband ordered one and it finished off the keg so they gave him another whole beer of a different kind. The ordering and service was very confusing. We say down at an outdoor table and scanned the napkin holder to get to the app so we could order. When we went up to check on our drinks we were told that our table "didn't exist" and they had to fix it. Then, for the other order they only brought out the alcoholic beverages, not my coke. I'm still not sure about the proper procedure for ordering and receiving food. I live far away, so honestly probably won't have the opportunity to go back but if we were in the area I would consider going again. The fire they had built outside was nice and the patrons were friendly.
