I feel bad for even saying this came from Bonchon because I have never been to another location and got food like this before! This is just disrespectful to the Bonchon name! First of all their tenders don’t actually look like tenders(they are round) they give more that 1/3 cup of rice in a cup bowl and a teaspoon of ranch in a 1/4 cup container?This is just sad and disgraceful! I could have went to the corner store and spent less for better??♀️. They should let you rate a negative score for this misinterpretation! NEVER AGAIN!!!
Worst service of any restaurant
Really love this Bonchon and they’re accommodating when you ask for mostly flats. My favorite is the 10 wings half spicy half soy garlic w/seasoned fries.*Only gripe please add seasoned fries back to door dash app for this location, as I had to go to physical location and they were back in stock.
Food was good. I do recommend this spot but what bothered me was the portion of the Rice. It’s like a baby portion, ridiculous . The rice portion really got me .
Over the weekend a friend and I went to Bon Chon Midlothian.I ordered something off the menu that I was not familiar with (bibimbap) with the garlic chicken. My meal came out first and I dug around in it to look at the different ingredients but I didn't see any chicken. When the server brought my meal to the table, I asked where the chicken would be, on top or mixed in with the ingredients (I honestly had no idea what to look for haha). The server, who was very kind and prompt, said she thought on top and went to the kitchen to double check that the chicken was served with my meal.Enter Dorothy, Cook Manager.From the moment she arrived at our table, she escalated something that was really a nonissue with her belligerent attitude. Her entire demeanor was confrontational, accusatory, and unprofessional. I repeated to her that all I wanted to know was where the chicken in the dish was and she very rudely pointed into the middle of my bowl and stated 'it was there but you must've ate it'. The entire situation dissolved into a fiasco with Dorothy arguing with my friend.WOW is all I can say.If you go and have any questions about your food, keep them to yourself unless you are prepared to fight with the Cook Manager.
They need to just close this location. There is one girl serving, one very rude girl on the bar. The food was cold when we got it and it took over 45 mins to get it. Poor server was clearly very overwhelmed. Had 7 tables, was giving out credit cards to the wrong people and the bartender was sitting on her phone and responded very annoyed when I voiced a concern about the server being in the weeds and our food being cold. If you don’t have enough people to run the place, close your doors. This is ridiculous.
This is the second time I visited this location and I have to say I’m disappointed. They apparently have an issue with cooking the food, the first visit they served frozen octopus inside the takoyaki. Today they served undercooked chicken. The service was bad as well, the waitress takes orders by listening to hopes and prayers. Was not surprised when everything we ordered did not arrive. Water must also be in short supply here as well since we only got a refill when she was called over to take back the remaining four raw drumsticks for fully cooked chicken and offered no apology or replacement for the two raw pieces we ate… at this point just hoping we don’t get sick. Got me twice Bonchon never again.
What on earth happened to the chicken strips?!?! I mean, completely different than what they served just months ago. It's like they bought frozen, precooked, overly breaded strips, then fried then again, then put a very small amount of sauce on them. They were NOTHING like that they used to have. I have a hard time saying they were even edible with how dry they were.
I was excited to find Bonchon because I hadn't visited one in a while. When I walked in there were two people at the bar talking. I believe they already had their order. I waited quite a few minutes before someone came from the back to assist me. After I placed my order it seemed to be another long wait. With that said, I would recommend calling ahead as seemed to be the case with some oreders that were bagged and waiting for pickup.I ordered the 10 count (dinner) spicy soy garlic wings, kimchi, and radishes. The chicken was good and spicy. I would have liked a smaller portion since I was the only one eating them. The smaller portion is only available for lunch. The kimchi was pretty good. It too was spicy. The radishes were disappointing. They did not taste pickled at all.I would visit again to try some of tgeir other items like the korean tacos.
Whoa,after seeing this place in aYouTube/ Mashed;"Fast food chicken chains ranked worst to best"I thought the fairly good rating would make this place worth a try ? since it's in my neck of the woods.But after seeing so many Negative reviews here on Google maps,recently & way older.Not to mention the constant apologetic responses from Management, I'm left feeling they are aware of the problems but aren't interested in correcting them,especially since there are so many more complaints in recent weeks.So I think I'll skip on eating here after reading the reviews of the many who were greatly disappointed ? with the handling of business at this franchise location! ?
