My family was driving through Richmond and a colleague recommended Pizza & Beer of Richmond. It was a great recommendation. Excellent pizza and beer options; the name says it all! Really excellent flavor combos. Will definitely be back. Only downside on this first visit was being seated right under the outdoor speaker but at least the music wasn't obnoxious, just really loud and too busy to move tables that evening.
Boy did this place go south quick or what!?!? Is it under new management? Pizza was not near up to par. Brussels Sprouts were well past Crispy. I really liked getting my check with 3/4 of a pizza left (that had so little cheese you could see the sauce and was more flimsy than an over-cooked lasagna noodle) and not getting asked if we'd like a refill on our empty drink cups... classic touch there. Don't worry about me driving the almost 2-hour round trip to dine here anytime soon. You people need to do a serious self-assessment on your service and food quality. We should have just left. Wish I would have taken some pictures.
We ordered the "Attack of Hanover Tomatoes " pizza for my husband and I as well as shared boneless buffalo wings, both tasty. My Daughter got a kids cheese pizza which was pretty large. She only ate half and tried the ice cream sandwich which we all helped her finish LOL my husband and I tried the Canolli dip and chips and we weren't impressed by the dip at all. Overall, a very good choice and we will return.
Outstanding service! Firstly, our almost two year old has some serious food allergies (dairy, egg, sesame and peanut) so our options are pretty limited. I saw a few reviews from others with allergies and decided to give PBR in Hanover a try for Sunday lunch. The server and manager went above and beyond to be sure my son’s kid cheese and pepperoni pizza was safe and prepared free from cross-contamination. Not only was service amazing, the Italian Job pizza and fried pickles we ordered were delicious! Hands down the best place to go for beer, pizza and allergy/family-friendly service with a smile! Take notes local restaurants!

Came in by myself on a recent Wednesday evening. Was pleasantly surprised they had live entertainment. Plenty of draft craft beer selections. My supreme pizza was superb with perfect crust and generous toppings.
Just two of us and they Couldn't get the drinks right. Ordered a pizza, the Godfather. It wasn't that hot to be a fresh pizza. It wasn't very good at all. Definitely will not be returning. Hostess asked how was it. We told her terrible. She did ask if we would like to have another one but we declined. Neither one of us ate a whole slice. Got a to go box for my dogs.
First timers here and was impressed!Menu seemed confusing at first but the waitress was very helpful and offered great ideas. Food was very good and service was fast (it was a Monday evening). Price was very reasonable and better than expected!
Best pizza I have eaten since moving to Virginia, and the ice cold beer is also a plus.
