Absolutely had the worst experience here at lunch time today. People were waiting 45-60 minutes for their food. The team leader was anything but a team leader. She had a poor attitude and complained constantly that she was tired of people complaining to her about the service. After almost waiting for an hour, I asked for a refund. I had no more time to wait. She yells to a manager that "this lady doesn't want to wait for her food"! I understand being short staffed, but maybe think about why people are so frustrated with your service. Telling them up front that the kitchen is running behind and it could take almost an hour to receive their food would allow them to make the choice of whether or not they wanted to wait or go somewhere else. People do not expect that kind of wait time at Panera Bread. Service at this location has been on the slow side the last few times I have visited, but today just topped the cake. I will say the kitchen staff was doing all they could to keep up. I will not be back to this location.
No croutons in my salad just lettuce and Cesar dressing. There was a long piece of brown hair In My bag, and hummus or something all over my sandwhich that was supposed to be just turkey and lettuce. And the lettuce in my salad looks oldTried to call multiple times but nobody is answering the phones.
The absolute worst panera ever. I was just there and tried to order four different items and they were either out of one or all of the ingredients required to make those items. This is not the first time they have been out of ingredients and it was only 5pm! The dinner rush was just beginning and when I tried to sub different things they either told me that they couldnt do that or they didnt have it. So upsetting. This has happened at least three other times and this is the last time I am ever going to be visiting them. Prior to their three month long ingredient shortage they also mess up my order constantly and they take forever. When I pulled around to the window tonight I waited and waited and waited and no one came to take my card or give me my food. I waited fifteen minutes and even knocked on the window. I watched over a dozen employees run around inside and no one paid attention. This was after waiting in line for forty minutes as the third customer in line! I drove around front without my food and they were empty inside so what were they all doing????? Buyer beware and do not go here
I don’t really leave bad reviews and understand in the time we are in with limited staff and increased demands things are challenging. However I think there’s a minimum expectation for service. I ordered food to be delivered (through the Panera app) because my baby was sick and I didn’t want to bring her out. What they don’t tell you is that apparently they outsource the delivery to door dash. The problem this creates is that if issues arise during delivery, (which in this case was the driver forgetting my smoothie) no one takes ownership and it’s really difficult to get resolved. Panera had a kind employee answer the phone and try to help me but I heard his manager in the background saying I had to call doordash but to take my info and she would call me back and take care of it. I asked who I could call back to speak to in case I didn’t see the refund processed and he said “Stephanie, Sam or Amanda”. The refund was not processed, doordash can’t help me because the order was placed through Panera, and I haven’t been able to get anyone on the phone to talk to.
I just had the nicest experience here. The young lady behind the counter was super nice and friendly. We are new to the area and she just made my day.
It took 15 minutes to get through the drive through and only two vehicles in front of me. The Asian chicken salad was not as described. No mixed greens just pale romaine. No Cilantro, no sesame seeds and very little dressing. This is the second time that the food quality at this location was poor.
Today I went to the Panera in Mechanicsville and ordered two breakfast sandwiches. When I got them the sandwiches were on the wrong bread, I brought this to the staff’s attention and they told me they were out of the bread I ordered. I get that but at least let me know as I’m ordering, now I’m stuck with two sandwiches I don’t want. I talked to the manager and I kid you not, she just stared at me and didn’t say a word, not even an “I’m sorry” or any attempt to correct the situation. I ended up walking away, hard to have a conversation with someone who isn’t talking back. Customer service is apparently a thing of the past.
This place is always out of their ingredients. And they don't give any kind of discount for an order without those items if not available. For example: the salad I ordered comes with pickled onions and avacado. Both were out of stock. I wanted both, couldn't get either, but the menu item remains full price. This place is a rip off anyway, and they always let me down at this particular location. They are always out of some critical ingredient, and staff has been rude to me here in the past. It is a shame because Panera is a good concept with decent food if you can get it. Was hoping for a nice change of pace as I don't eat at Panera often...and this place just reminded me why again tonight.
It seems like all Paneras have become a huge disappointment. I just sat in this locations drive thru line for 15min before ordering. Got to the window and sat another 5+ minutes waiting to pay, people walked back and forth pass the window not one person even greeted me. This location has no sense of urgency and the employees are rude. I'm officially done with Panera, its always something, no matter what location you visit.
I went to the Mechanicsville location yesterday 12/30/2021 and the service was terrible. The cashier made a mistake with my order and made me pay extra. They didn't apologize for the inconvenience and made it seem like my fault for "messing up on my wording". I ended up getting a refund on the money missing but they still didnt apologize for the inconvenience. Food was great but the lobby was filthy. Wish they would pay more attention to their cleaning habbits. Props to the cooks.
