Awesome food! Serving sizes are generous the prices are pretty reasonable when you see the portion. The flavors and ingredients are just so delicious. Best ranch dressing ever! Not that the ranch dressing is the most important aspect. Great atmosphere very inviting set up in two sections with a dividing wall. The wide-open restaurant side can be for big party groups as well as intimate family dining, the other side is their bar area which is a bit smaller but leads outside to a great patio area. My dad has been going so long that his waitress Mary remembers all his favorite orders in case he's having trouble trying to figure out what he wants on any particular visit. Mary has been there since it opened and treats everyone like family. She by far as well as the other staff are the best I've ever come across. All I can say is a big thank you to them for taking such good care of my father all these years and hopefully many more!
We stopped here on our way from Virginia Beach to Western Virginia. Our decision was based on the reviews in Trip Advisor. We were really looking forward to lunch BUT, we were turned away at 1: 30 because they close at 2 PM. Not my idea of good customer service or PR. We drove off the Interstate our if our way to come here. Never again.
Ordered the quesadilla and the cheese was so gummy I could only barely eat one slice. The steak and cheese look like dog food on a huge bun. I had to take the meat off the bread and add some sauté onions and my husband still couldn't eat it. I use to get the breakfast but they can't get their potatoes cooked right. This place has really changed. We use to get a descent breakfast a few years ago but not anymore. It's not about the quantity, it's the quality of food. My last order,
Solid American fare. Very good service! I had left some of my dinner on the table and went to the restroom, while I was gone a busser cleared it thinking I was done. My waitress Courtney offered to make a fresh dish or the meal was on them. I had eaten most of it so didn't need a new plate and I would have been happy with a half off entree on my bill but she insisted I didn't need to pay, I thought the service was top notch! Friendly and fast outside of that too. Everyone makes mistakes, but how we proceed from them really defines us and Marty's did a great job doing so, definitely recommend.
Beautiful restaurant and patio. Nice that they occasionally have live music. Dinner is good. I like the spaghetti sandwich and the fried chicken sandwich. They also have great pulled pork nachos.The breakfast isn't that good. Bacon has no flavor and greasy so assuming it's baked. The sausage gravy is also lacking in flavor by a mile. The biscuits are great big and usually hard on the bottom. French toast is very tasty and dusted with cinnamon sugar, it really saved the day in terms of flavor. Breakfast potatoes are pretty good if you don't get them deep fried. Location is very convenient. No other breakfast restaurants to compete with on that strip other than fast food.
Great place to get Covid. Basically a super-spreader event where people are packed to the rafters with nobody but nobody wearing a mask— including the wait staff who zip from table to table spreading it all around. I contracted Covid 3 days after eating here. No thanks. Nothing on the menu is worth courting death.
Very good Sailer sandwich, ff are great. Bone in chicken wings 8 out of 10. Everyone in our party was very pleased.
The quintessential local bar and grill. Comfortable atmosphere, good food, personable staff. I'm especially fond of the morning breakfast special, offered Monday through Friday. Don't miss Tuesday night burger specials.
I've been here at least 4 times now when I visit my mom and each time has been on point! The breakfast and lunch are so yummy and the servers are so attentive and kind. Price is very reasonable for all the generous portions too.
Have been eating at Marty's Grill on again off again for several years. Back in 2018 this place had amazing food... since my first time the standards have been lowering and lowering culminating in tonight. I ordered a Brook Burger and it was hands down the most vile and disgusting burger I have ever eaten. The patty was of such low quality and completely raw. I took a few bites and literally felt sick to my stomach. Threw the burger out and went to taco bell instead... Shame.
