This place never fulfills there hours listed I suggest you call prior to arrival.If you call and ask what time you close the ladies will say to owner what time you wanna close tonight !
We were visiting friends in Mechanicsville and decided to eat out for dinner on a Friday evening. They mentioned they had tried Lidia's a few years ago, liked it, and wondered why they had not returned since it was just a few miles from their home. Since we like Italian, that sounded good. We arrived around 5:30 and it was almost empty. When we left around 6:45 the place was almost full. Two of our party had the pasta with meatballs, another the salmon, and I had the Fettucini alfredo. The servings were very generous - all except the salmon took home boxes. Nice green salad. Reasonable prices in today's world. Cassandra, our server, was kept drinks filled and kept a check on us. Our Mechanicsville friends are glad to have that back on the radar and we will look forward to a return visit!
Came to eat and was seated immediately but then no one came to take our order. So we got up and left. And it was pretty empty. Worst customer service.
Everything was great! Salad was chopped (much prefer that to giant leaves that require cutting.). Pasta was cooked perfectly, and ingredients were full of flavor.
This was my first time at Lydia's and it was Fantastic! Wonderful service and easily the BEST pizza in the area.
Came in on a Saturday evening around 8pm. Was seated and had to wait at least 15 minutes before anyone came by to take my order. The waitress took my order and got every single thing wrong. The salad came with the wrong dressing. The spaghetti came out with meatballs instead of sausage. Every time the waitress came to the table she would drop the item off and keep on going without even taking the time to slow down. She never once checked to see how I was doing. The food was good but the service was the worst I have ever had. Very disappointed in how I was treated.
Pizza is delicious both Lydia’s special and margarita pizza. Great atmosphere. Great wait staff. I will be back!! Great addition to our community.

The staff was very kind and welcoming, for that I gave two stars, but my chicken parmesan dish came out with a hair on it. I took a photo of it before it was sent back, and the food was clearly just scraped onto a new dish and reheated. The chicken was identical. Horrible health safety hazard, and a very rude move from the kitchen staff. Disgusting, and I will not be going back. Before and after photos below.
The so call chopped chicken sub was greasy, hardly any chicken, and pricey at over $11.00. The few fries were greasy and cold I hadn’t eaten here in a while. I thought I would give them another chance…. Very bad decision.
