Live nearby and we usually do the pizza place down the road. But since everyone raves about this place we figured we would give it a try. Ordered a large pizza with extra mushrooms and to my dismay they loaded it down with canned mushrooms. As a shroom lover that’s a big no no. Other than the shrooms the pizza was good. Just can’t believe a place that serves fresh salads can’t chop up some fresh ones. Until they step up there mushroom game I’ll keep ordering from the place down the street. This review is for the pizza only. Can’t speak on anything else.
Love, love, love Giovanni’s! It’s my favorite place in Mechanicsville, and I will always go back and support. The pizza is phenomenal. Everything else is exceptional, especially the cheesesteak, and John will take care of you. Can’t recommend enough!
It is small place and you are packed in there. Service was ok. It took awhile to get the food. They forgot one meal. The prices are not cheap. We had a hard time getting our check I won't be back
My family loves wings from this place. They are really good. However everyone eats flats but me. I stopped going to this place because the drum portion of the chicken doesn’t even look like drums. We were spending 60 dollars a week on wings durning football. Now they can count me out until they have chicken drums that look like drums.
I ordered the Veal Parmesan with my side being spaghetti with meat sauce. I'm one that can eat, but no way I could eat all of it. Stuffed with just the veal parmesan. Saved the side of Spaghetti for another meal. Which is also plentiful. The Spaghetti I've had plenty of times, always good. 1st time for the veal. Very good.
Always delicious food and friendly staff. Great people and reasonable prices. I come here as often as I can.
Best pizza in this town! Second best cheesesteak I know of. It’s always good here.

Unlike someone a couple years back, I'm not going to give them 2 stars because the portions are pleasantly too big! I'm also not going to complain about masks, I presume the staff have been vaccinated since they're working with the public! Anybody that has ever worked with the public fully understands that comment!!!What I will do is talk about how satisfied I am with my meal!!! I am full and upset that I was unable to eat more because it was so good!!!The staff was impressive with their professionalism, care and concern. Treated us with the utmost respect!!!
