Ordered lots food for our daughter’s Family Birthday celebration and they forgot the rice. The bags are stapled shut so we didn’t think it open them while at the restaurant. We live 15 mins away. When I called they apologized and offered me $20 off my next visit and said I could come pick up the rice. When I went back to get the rice they apologized again and even gave me a slice of cheesecake for my daughter and the bag said “Happy Birthday” so sweet! The food was amazing and the staff was so sweet and genuinely sorry. Mistakes happen but it says a lot when a business owns the mistake, apologizes and goes the extra mile to make things right!Lesson learned: Always your order before you leave!
On a whim, my husband and I popped in here for lunch while in Mechanicsville, not knowing anything about it. What a gem! The food was delicious. Wr got dirty fries with aioli and crab Rangoon appetizer - not a drop of either was left. Then we both ordered a lunch special. Everything was delicious. We had 1 soda and water and it was all under $30! The place was steady but not overly crowded. Definitely will go back!
Early dinner on a Saturday. What we liked: 1. Friendly, smiling greeter. Same goes for the young lady who walked us to our table. A few month ago we patronized another restaurant and the walker did not make eye contact, did not smile, and did not say anything like "follow me please." She just walked away. And we were left there standing, wondering if we should follow or if maybe she wanted us to wait while she looked for a table. Very rude not to acknowledge a customer. 2. Outstanding, professional service by Chris M. Helpful. Gave suggestions. Pointed out his favorites on the menu. Checked on us frequently. Brought everything we asked for. Top notch tableside service. Thank you Chris. 3. The food. Sheesh. So many choices, and it was all sooooo good. Lovely presentation. Crisp vegetables. Savory sauces. Hot food served hot. (I ate too much.) Lots of mixed Asian: Japanese, Thai, Chinese. Can't say enough positive things about the food. 4. Beware their new margarita. $8.75, and it IS good, but that jalapeno gives it a precise kick in the mouth. 5. Clean restrooms. 6. Plenty of free parking. 7. Music not too loud. 8. There's a closed off room for about 12 people that gives a sense of intimacy if you like that sort of thing. 9. Pleasant, welcoming dining room. 10. Our meal for two, plus one appetizer (soup), and three drinks came to about $52, which includes tax. We thought that was pretty decent. We both took dragon bags home with enough main courses for the next day. What we didn't like: Nothing. Would we return? Can't wait.
We went at 6:00 p.m. on a Saturday night. There was a 30 minute wait, and they were short-staffed. Because we've always loved the food we decided to go ahead and wait it out. Best decision ever! The food was amazing as always and our server Justin was an absolute delight! Despite being short staffed and super busy he was patient and funny and answered every question with joy! We will be back again!
The food was amazing! Great menu with a lot of options. The waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable. She recommended our third roll and she was spot on! Will definitely be returning.
No issues with the food, however, the service has been incredibly slow the last couple of visits (both in restaurant and take out). Not sure if this was a symptom of being short staffed, but it has really started to change my family’s perception of the restaurant.
Good food! Very nice inside
Amazing food very relaxing atmosphere ?✨✌️
Sushi is excellent. The Japanese salad with Thai dressing is incredible. Staff is friendly and attentive. Service was so good here and they were short staffed!! The sushi is so good. I can’t wait to go again.
There was a short wait to be seated and a long wait for the arrival of the main course, BUT there was a sign upon entering that they were short-staffed and asked for patience. The food was delightful. The one negative criticism I have--the seating. The chair I sat in was hard and eventually uncomfortable and my dining partner also complained about his booth seating being uncomfortable.
