This was an unpleasant visit before I even stepped foot into the building. Tried placing an order via phone call, because they have done that before and, IF maybe I didn't get the memo "they don't anymore" I wouldn't know,because they wouldn't answer the phone, no voicemail available. THEN!! IT SAID IT WASN'T IN SERVICE (the phone #) ANYMORE?! Walked in, placed order - Club on Sub med, white plain (meat, cheese & bacon). I brought the sub home and it was plain but missing bacon --- so although it was free anyway because of my birthday gift on app, that's one of the main ingredients, otherwise it's a hook & ladder... anyways, Staff was friendly and fairly quick, but were busy talking about what they should play on tv instead of cleaning the pile of visible dirty dishes in the back.... won't be back.
Unbelievably slow for DoorDash orders. After waiting 15 minutes for the sandwich to be made, I had to remind the staff that the order came with drinks, chips, and dessert. Another 5 minutes for them to gather the rest of the order. Unprofessional responses. They were out of chicken and desserts and the explanation to multiple customers was “we’re out of everything.” No apology or secondary option given. Just seems the place is wildly subpar in terms of speed of orders and customer service. I will never return for myself or Doordash orders.
We had a large order for a gathering the subs were awesome, everything was fresh and delicious! Shannon was fabulous, packaging everything neatly and exactly right! Great experience thank you Shannon and team!
Ordered in the store and took home as soon as they made them. Only drove a mile and a half. All three subs - steak and cheese, new york steamer, and brisket with cheddar are ice cold. The roll for the new york steamer was so soggy it couldn't be eaten and the meat was sliced so thick it couldn't be chewed until cut small. The brisket and cheddar had an inch and half of roll with nothing on it - no brisket, no cheese. Very disappointed for the amount of money spent. On top of it all, we tried to call to see if it could be resolved but the number listed is out of service. We use to love this place.
Somewhat rude staff. Shouldn’t have to hear them bickering over schedules while I’m waiting for my meal. That should be a team meeting environment where customers cannot overhear. Food was good with just one tiny hiccup…my son asked for no pickle and he got one, but who can complain about an extra pickle.
The Italian sub that I got was very good. My friend got the Firehouse Hero. Both were generous with the meats. Neither of us got the mustard on ours because why when there’s mayonnaise on them already. The potato chowder was yummy, tasted like bacon was in it. It seemed a bit pricey for subs and soup, $40. It took 15 minutes for them to be made.
I was in there tonight and didnt get my pickles which caused me to get mentally abused tonight due to it. I tried calling to just get the busy tone

Ok so I decided to stop by firehouse subs in Mechanicsville va now i ordered 3 subs that took about 45 minutes for 3 subs… really! The staff is very unprofessional they play too much they have no respect for the customers u can tell they are high school students well young and playful .. it’s ridiculous so firehouse subs just got cancelled .. I try and support local businesses but this place here it’s a wrap! ??
Ordered online for “rapid results” Got there, stood in line while others ordered, got to my turn and they said they had not rec’d my order. So yeah ill never get that 15 minutes back…tighten up Firehouse.
