It was ok..nothing great. Our regular go-to was closed today so decided to try China House. Won ton soup was tasty, but only lukewarm..2 of our 3 entrees were good...1 had very little meat, mostly veggies instead..too bad.My son went to pick up and said cashier was very rude..Probably won't be a returning customer
Food did not taste fresh. It tasted stale and the flavoring was bland. When I got there, adults were eating food. Did not budge to get up. The kids took my order and at one point, I think they had their kids start cooking the food. Eventually some of the adults got up and went into the kitchen.
I order General tso chicken n cheese wontons today it was good ..I’ll come back

My wife, family & I have been going to China House for almost 3 years. It used to be the best Chinese place in Mechanicsville. Lately though the food has decreased in quality & the service is absolutely horrible. The lady that takes orders is a detestable, abhorrent person. My wife ordered 2 general tsos chicken, she was 5 cent short. The lady yelled at my wife over a nickel & called her a liar. My wife & I left without the food, my wife was so upset she was almost in tears. I was shocked.. I went back the next day to speak to the lady about it & she claimed she didn’t even remember.Wow. Something so insignificant as a nickel…you yell at my poor wife. It’s so insignificant you don’t even remember it. Was yelling over a nickel worth it? China House has lost our business forever. These people are loathsome.
Awesome! Always have good food, first time we placed a big catering order with them though. Had a big party. They were spot on and the food was ready exactly at scheduled pick up time. Not 20-30 minutes before, it went straight from the stove to my car. Highly recommend.
Best food anywhere. Always hot and prepared with excellence. Service is friendly and kind. Prices are reasonable.
So friendly! Incredibly CLEAN!!!!!!! Smelled so good inside. Truly SPOTLESS! Ordered egg rolls, chow mein and egg foo young. I always order those things when I try a new place. Everything was soooo good!! I can't wait to go back and try more dishes!!!!! I'm from NY and have had a hard time finding a good Chinese restaurant here in Virginia. I finally found one!!!! Yummmmmmy!!!!!!
