OK, first things first. Bon Chon is Amazing. Period. It's never bad, only better than other times. The place is super nice inside and the staff is wonderful. I have never, repeat never had a complaint about this place in any way. Did I also mention they have the cheapest happy hour beer around. I've had a lot of their food. Potstickers are delicious and fried rice is great. The wings are to die for good. They're always big and meaty. If you like hot they got that too. Like it totally choked me up hot. So yeah, the place is totally banging and 5 stars for sure.
Unfortunately, the Bonchon location on W Broad st which was a pretty close location to where I’m currently located has permanently closed so this location in Mechanisville is the second closest. There is also a location in Midlothian. The few times my husband and I have been to this location has been fantastic. The food as well as the servers have been great with no complaints. As a Korean myself, bonchon is the closest to Korean fried chicken you can get. My husband always gets the spicy chicken wings and I get a mix of spicy and soy garlic strips. Chicken always comes out hot and crispy. White radish is absolutely a must with Bonchon’s chicken. Although a bit of a drive from us, I always look forward to coming back to Bonchon. Fantastic chicken!
What happened to the original Bon Chon wings with the super crispy coating? These are not the same. Did Bon Chon change their recipe? These were also a little overcooked and dry. Maybe we will try again.
itz the chicken – it’s addictive❕i will say, as a spicy fan - the spicy garlic sauce is RiGHT up my alley. however, if you have zero to low tolerance for a spicy kick, you should stick with the soy garlicboth the drums AND wings are SO delicious and you really can’t go wrong with either saucealso their ranch is flawless .. everything YUM
Going downhill. The food used to be insanely good. Now it's just okay. Seems like cheaper ingredients or something. Today was our sixth and final visit. Sad. My food, my husband's, and my daughters food seemed to be blah. They said the same thing. No longer worth the money. Hopefully they fix the issues or they won't be able to stay in business.
Everything we got was very good, I do have to say if you end up getting the tteokbokki make sure you can take spicy stuff because it’s very spicy. But over all the food was very good. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because the prices are very high for the meal we had. But I would definitely recommend you try this place. Kind employees and fast service.
So we go with family of 7 yes we could’ve made rsvp but they told us it would be a long wait almost 40 min if we waited and they couldn’t push any tables together. I understand you are short staffed but to turn down a big family. We ended up going somewhere else. Lost a big tip. I work in fast food and know what it’s like when you are short staffed but what is the difference of taking other customers who was 2 or 3 less people?
Unexpectedly good service. Staff seemed to be helping each other and taking initiative (bringing orders out or sweeping up if the register wasn't busy). Wings and fries were so perfectly crispy and drinks kept getting refilled. Great outing in a time when we rarely eat out.
Absolutely delicious! Wonderful flavors!! Only one small thing which probably was my fault ordering online was one of the dishes came way to spicy! Other than that, will 100% be ordering again!
Good happy hour drink prices, big portions and really tasty food! The ice cream mochi was yummy also, but most of all- Excellent Service!! I’m so glad we came here and gave it a try!
