This restaurant was recommended by a local that had delivery from here many times. My daughter loves Italian food so we decided to give it a try. They have an extensive specialty pizza menu. We had to take our time ordering. We ultimately decided on a calzone with added pepperoni and some mozzarella sticks. The mozzarella sticks were gooey, stretchy delicious. The calzone was unusually good. I’m used to calzones being very bready and this was like a thin crust calzone. It was delicious too and it didn’t last long. No problem with the wait or the service (we were the only ones there at the time). If I lived nearby, I would be a regular!
I really like the drive-thru pickup at this place, wasn't expecting it. This was the first time we've had pizza from here we don't live too close. The pizza had tremendous cheese flavor, was a little greasy which is what I'm used to being from New Jersey originally. I thought it was cooked nicely the crust was very good. That's all we had so I can't recommend any other dishes yet but I'm sure we'll be back
Best pizza I’ve had in Virginia. Family owned and the staff working the drive thru are always friendly. Fig and Pig or Figgy Piggy as I call it is awesome and highly recommended.
Hidden gem in Mechanicsville with delicious pizza and friendly prices. Cooked to perfection and the garlic knots are outstanding. Definitely recommend to anyone in the area for fresh delicious pizza
Best Pizza in Central Virginia! I eat here regularly. Always great service and the pizza is absolutely delicious! My girlfriend and I get pizza here 2 to 3 times a week sometimes. It's just that good. Oh and if want a drive through pick up experience it's also on option by the way. Which is the only way I've ever picked up. Totally convenient. In fact, I'm going to order a pizza as soon as I finish the review. To the people that have given negative reviews for the pizza if you seriously prefer Lil ceasers over this something is wrong. Great job guys.
UPDATE: Notice how the owner’s response says nothing to defend the quality of his sandwich. What an egomaniac. I would ask him why one has to be unhappy to rate something with a one star. Maybe his food is simply not good.**Terrible sub sandwich. The glowing reviews blow my mind. While my husband was eating his soggy, wet pizza, I was dissecting my ham sad-wich which was oozing with mayo. There is plenty of meat but at such low quality. It’s spongy like an Oscar Mayer. The bread has no characteristic whatsoever aside from chewy. I love a nice crust on my bread to contrast the texture of the meat and lettuce. I didn’t get it here. I rarely eat out and when I do I choose local over chain but this is disappointing. In the restaurant industry, you only get one shot. This was a huge miss, sorry to say.
Update: owner responded to my review with nonsense. Just a pathetic excuse for a local joint. All they want is accolades. Apparently they never get it wrong.Original review: Absolutely disgusting. We were fooled by the good reviews. I have been a chef for over 30 years and have never received a pizza nor sent one out to a guest as soggy and disgusting as this. They pre-cook the crust. Only explanation for this result. BTW, toppings go on top. Not under the cheese. That’s why they are called toppings. Management should be ashamed of this abomination. This is what buying local in Mechanicsville gets you. Save your money and go to Little Caesar’s down the street.
The pizza was wonderful! Friendly staff. Easy parking.
Our go-to for pizza nights. Consistently great product and service. One of my faves of all time--love the crust and the sauce, and they use high quality ingredients. Usually get pepperoni and Italian sausage pizza. Delicious!
Excellent food and service. Please keep on mind they are still updating the dining area so there may be some signs of construction. Love the art pieces inside, shows great pride in the local history.
