My wife and I was in the McLean area, at the Staybridge Suite, when we decided to go across the street to The Italian Oven, to get dinner, as a takeout meal. When we went inside the restaurant was clean and orderly, and gave us that Italian Ambiance, of being in Italy! We were greeted nicely, inside the resturant, where a gentleman had taken our order, in a courteous and professional manner! When we received our food, and gotten back to our hotel; the food was hot, delectable, and enjoyable to eat! My wife and I both said, "this is the place to be, to get a good and decent meal," for a very inexpensive price! Whether you're on travel or you live in the area, I would highly recommend this restaurant as a place to go, for a good Italian meal!
Food was fabulous. Our table had the pizza, gnocchi and a seafood dish. All were spectacular. The service was awesome. Will definitely come back.
I hate to give any place a bad review, but they can't fix what they don't know. You see this spaghetti? $10 each tray. 10 dollars for a kids spaghetti. Yes, that half-filled bowl of spaghetti with butter was 10 bucks, and the sad sight next to it was another 10. It's in a to-go tray because they failed to get me and my kids food within the 45 minute window I had before I had to go pickup another kid, which I told them about upon arrival. Maybe it was really busy you say? There were two other tables with a total of 3 people in the whole restaurant. It was a complete failure of service and a huge disappointment all around. Scratch another McLean restaurant off the list.
I had the small Alla Salsiccia pizza. It was delicious, fresh, hot, and above all, the taste was exactly what you hope for in a meaty pizza!!! Keep up the good work Italian Oven! 10/10 will definitely be going here again soon.
No liquor license. VERY very small. The menu is limited but the food is as good as ever. Mostly take out.
Great local restaurant, pizza is very good, home made taste, fresh ingredients. Solid service. As with many restaurants these days, seems a bit pricey.
The Italian oven is has the best pizza in McLean if you are looking for great pizza go here I find the service to be good and nice workers when you are taking out the gluten free pizza is well some of the worst I have had but other than that it’s great
Unfortunately, not good at all. The food was okay at best. The cheese to sauce ratio on the pizza was completely off. I will say that the dough on the calzone was delicious, which is why I gave two stars. This is not a family restaurant; they do not offer a kids menu. When we ordered waters for the table, they did not bring a anything for my child, which was odd. Table bread is not served. But the worst part was the cheesecake. It was the worst I've ever had (it was crumbly, grainy and had a soggy crust. Just from the appearance alone, they should not have served it to us.
I haven’t been to this spot, but I’ve heard wonderful things about this spot. My boss brought me margherita pizza - right now, it tastes so good. ? I’d honestly order this kind of pizza again! Cheers to your good pizza.
My wife and I have had take out twice and finally made a trip to this lovely family Italian restaurant. We had the calamari, which was good. We had their montepulciano, which was good as well. Our entre special was the best meal of all. A grilled seabass with a side salad, and pasta with oil and garlic. Highly recommend if available. We ended with their homemade tiramisu and two cups of cappuccinos, which were excellent to end the evening. Friendly server and great atmosphere.Thought I'd add another special: lobster with medium spicy red sauce, delicious!
