We've been to Capital Grill Tysons for many years. The service and food were always quite satisfactory. But our last meal there was not we've remembered. It wasn't busy, around 5:00 pm on a Friday. Took a long time to have water glasses filled (it was a hot day). Cocktail was lukewarm and not made according recipe, had to sent it back. I ordered the special, shrimp stuffed with crab meat. The shrimps were over cooked, chewy. All in all, it was not the Capital Grill we remembered. It's kind of sad that standards and services have gone down hill, and the food is overprices for its quality.

A steak sandwich was ordered and the steak was inedible. It was very grisly and could not be chewed making the sandwich inedible. This was pointed out to the server who did offer a replacement meal which I declined based on my time constraints. I left hungry as a result.

My husband and I really enjoyed our meal at The Capital Grille and plan on returning. The food is delicious, depending on what you choose, and the customer service is excellent. The hostesses were friendly and our waiter was very attentive. For our appetizer, we had the Lobster and Crab Cakes. I would highly recommend this dish. It was awesome! For our entrees, my husband got the Bone-In Ribeye and I got the Roasted Chicken Breast. For our sides we got the brussels sprouts and the mashed potatoes. The steak was juicy and cooked to perfection. The brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes were tasty and we would definitely get them again. I wouldn't get the Roasted Chicken Breast again. The chicken was moist, but the risotto that it came with lacked flavor and was a little runny. For dessert, my husband got the Flourless Chocolate Espresso Cake and I got the Coconut Cream Pie. The Flourless Chocolate Espresso Cake was to die for and I would definitely get it again. The Coconut Cream Pie wasn't very good, and I would not recommend it. The dessert was beautiful, but parts of it tasted dry and lacked flavor.Overall, our experience was great and we will come back again. I will just order steak next time, since this is what they are known for and will stay away from the Coconut Cream Pie.This is a great spot for a date night or a special occasion dinner.

I haven't been to the Cap Grille in years although I pass it almost daily to and from work, etc. We decided to go out for Juneteenth. Unfortunately so did everyone else. We went at 8:30 pm. There was a huge table to our left with 10 people celebrating a birthday (but the noise wasn't too prohibitive). We were literally in the very last booth in the corner. The waiter could barely get to us physically because of the gigantic round to our left. Good thing we aren't claustrophobic. I suggested Cap Grille because I love the great service we usually get there. I also suggested we go late to avoid the crowds. So much for that. The waiter we had was fine but he was swamped with the extra-large party he was also juggling. The food was stellar though. It did not disappoint, especially the coconut cream pie we took home for dessert. When we arrived the host asked if we wanted to sit at the bar instead but we wanted to sit in the dining room. I wish he would have completed his thought and warned us that the dining area was packed. We would have opted for the bar and not felt so packed in. I don't know, but for the $175 we spent I guess I would expect more for Cap Grille.

My husband chose this place for his Father’s Day celebration. We hadn’t been to the capital grille in a very long time. What used to be an outstanding steakhouse and been added to our list of mediocre. We were seated in a room used for parties. No decor. The sun was shining in my eyes from a nearby window which had drapes that didn’t close. Poor choice for host knowing this was the case. Steakhouses are typically expensive and you know that going in but because of that you expect a quality experience. It was not. The waitress was nice enough and did her best to please. We began with drinks which were good. Probably the best part of the meal. Bread basket was served cold. Blue point oysters were okay. Shrimp cocktail was previously frozen and hard. Horseradish cocktail sauce was the best part of the apps. The Caesar salad and field green salad both contained wilted lettuce. One we sent back. The other should have been sent back. The fire alarm went off for about 5 minutes in the middle of dinner. No one was asked to leave because apparently this happens frequently. The meat was not cooked to order and the bland sea bass tasted like butter. The coffee was terrible. No dessert was ordered. The bill came with the one salad charge remaining. The manager was called and he took $100 off the bill and included a $100 gift card. This above and beyond our expectations. Will we go back? Yes. Only to use the gift card and sit at the bar. Needless to say it was a disappointing experience on such a special occasion.

Dining experience was absolutely exquisite all around. Impeccable service by our server David! He made the experience memorable. We will be back!

as always everything was perfect, don´t change anything.

Great meal - the waitstaff here isn’t as interested in relationship building/entertainment as is the one in DC, but overall excellent nonetheless.
